We've blown it. Should have offered Dortmund more cash on deadline day. I've watched a few Dortmund games this season, and believe me, the hype is justified.

No. Stop ****ing believing everything the press ****ing say. If they sign him, so what? We would never have spent the £35m in the summer anyway...

Gotze's agent recently said he wants to honour his contract so it may not even be an issue. When does his deal run out?

I've just tried to find some info on it, but there doesn't seem to be anything. According to the daily Fail, Bayern are now after him too.

    Morning Gooners.

I work for a University and every Thursday play a game of 5-aside v a team of German exchange students from Dortmund. One of their players went to school with Gotze.

Apparently he is very settled at Dortmund and has no intention of moving. All his family and friends are in Dortmund, he still lives at home, and his family keep him very well grounded.

Not saying Dortmnd wouldn't accept a monster offer from Man City, Barcelona, Man U etc, but the player himself does not want to leave at this moment in time.

Cabaye - that's almost reassuring, the fact that there are footballers who respect the contracts they signed and are happy with the people paying their wages.

As for Man Utd, when Chelsea started flexing their financial muscles Fergie spent big to try and keep tabs, people have this perception that it's Chelsea and Man City who buy success, Man Utd earnt huge respect from me with their class of the 90's and the football they played but with the exception of Giggs they've all gone now and there are plenty of
£20m+ players in the squad, spending big money isn't alien to Utd if they sense a threat to their No' 1 status.
No question Man City have come along and raised the financial bar to a level that is unreachable for everyone, but that won't stop Fergie, they've done it before and they'll do it again....
