Hull City Official ‏@HullCity TEAM NEWS: Abel Hernández will miss both the @ManUtd and @Everton games having gone back to Uruguay for the birth of his child. Hull City Official ‏@HullCity TEAM NEWS: Steve Bruce has also confirmed that Mo Diamé is fit and available for selection vs @ManUtd after missing @SpursOfficial game.
Looks like it's Ben Arfa or Aluko to sit behind Jela - unless Brucey wants Quinny to do his Cup final busy-bee thing again. (Note to tablet: when I type Quinny I mean Quinny. Not Quincey.)
Stick with the 4-4-2 McGregor Rosey Dawson Davies Robertson Elmo Diame Livermore Brady Ben Arfa Jelavic Rosey at RB gives us a bit more defensively.
I would imagine it'll be the same starting 11 as against Spurs other than Diame in for Ramirez but whether Diame will play as advanced a role or the midfield will be reconfigured to push either Brady or Ben Arfa up in the hole, I'm not sure. Perhaps we could even go 4-3-3 when in possession reverting to 4-5-1 when not: McGregor Elmo Dawson Davies Robertson Livermore Huddlestone Diame Ben Arfa Jelavic Brady switching to: McGregor Elmo Dawson Davies Robertson Ben Arfa Livermore Huddlestone Diame Brady Jelavic
I agree. I also think SB might have an eye on the fact that both Livermore and Hudd are on 4 yellows. He'll want to reduce the risk of both them being suspended together.
We need to do something to appease the Gods, maybe sacrificing a player will work, shame we couldn't do it on Black Friday
I think the only change from Spurs will be Diame in for Ramirez. We were comprehensively beating Spurs with 11 men so why change?
I wouldn't change any more than we have to. We played our best team and played well last week. Changing it now to something completely different would be mental. Either Diame in for Ramirez, or maybe bring in Rosenior, move Elmo to right wing and Ben Arfa in behind. Diame seems perfect for the Ramirez position to me, but he moaned about playing anywhere other than CM for West Ham so I dunno how he'd take it. Either way Hernandez won't be missed; Jelavic on his own at the top of a 4-2-3-1 was the best option anyway.
