http://www.itv.com/sport/football/a...venues-of-420m-after-two-million-shirt-sales/ Not bad for a '' mid-table'' club.
Probably not a lot. £36m of CL money missing, but £20m from AON replaced by £53m from Chevrolet, so around an extra £33m from sponsorship. Overall revenue is likely to be flat next season, but grow a lot the following year if we get back into the CL.
I think we will Take a hit. Need to factor im match day takings and extra money outside of uefas standard prize structure. Won't be hugh though. Few million. Half a billion soon though. For a football club. Mental.
United's income would benefit from the CL money but in reality the amount of money received by competing in the CL is dwarfed by the sponsorship deals, friendly tournaments, shirt sales and various other commercial ventures. CL is important for 1. The prestige. The club needs to compete in the CL if it is be considered a top club and 2. To attract the best players.
Its not just the loss of CL money, its also the loss of gate receipts for those CL games too but still equates to a small proportion in the grand scheme of things. Edit: UIR beat me to it it seems
I don't know the numbers (nor do I care) so can't say too much but surely Real Madrid have a say in that?
operating costs up 20% thats a big year on year jump! wonder how much of that Falcao is getting. "The debt should be confirmed as £350million, with the cost of paying off the debt a similar level to the profits" Not much left up your sleeve either!
Much as I hate the GGs, the debt has been decreasing and they've opened their wallet wide... The roles are reversed as a result of the FFP and United's poor squad and performances last season. In the recent past we had United not willing to spend (because as someone earlier stated it was not necessary) and the likes of PSG, City, Monaco, Real, Chelsea had the field to themselves. Now, United willing to spend (and continue to spend- fingers crossed) for the next few years AND stay well within FFP. The above clubs willing to spend but constrained by FFP. As I said earlier, now that United's previous main asset (SAF) has gone, the battle had to be joined. Until United get into the CL, the reported available £100m annual spend will be needed. I do not expect ANY individual to be safe at the club: manager or players. If they do not perform, they should be ****ing kicked out of the club...
Manchester United announce record £433m revenue for the last year. Club also confirm they paid David Moyes & the staff £5.2m compensation.
Anyone who deserts to city (or any other club) is a plastic fan anyway. Real fans stay with their club for life, not just when everything is rosy
