    The Red Devils finished nine points clear of second-placed Chelsea to notch up a record 19th English league title as Sir Alex Ferguson grabbed his 12th top flight premiership.

    Down the other end of the table, West Ham United were given a paltry £756,000 as they finished last to be relegated along with Blackpool and Birmingham City.

    Of the London clubs, Chelsea received the biggest prize fund for their runners-up finish whilst Liverpool edged Everton to win the Merseyside clash.
