I hope the horrible bastard gets hounded out of Old Trafford. Rooney's flat out refusal to play in what was Fergie's last game at Old Trafford was disgraceful and was nothing more than a statement aimed to undermine and overshadow the whole occasion to honor a man that has given him so much. And where was he when Fergie gave the talk on the pitch at full time? All the players were there, as well all the coaching staff. The fact that he couldn't even put his differences aside to show respect to him says it all. He's a grade A ****.
no player is bigger than the club that is 2nd time he showed his disrespect to the club .. how you want the fans to react exactly?
There maybe a back story so I don't to jump on the bandwagon of "**** off Rooney". Rooney's been great for us, maybe he wants a different challenge, a chance to prove himself elsewhere.
**** sake Young beens struggling with crutches all day and then he just runs back on stage doing an encore jumping up and down waving his crutches around
He said. "I don't think Wayne was keen to play, simply because he has asked for a transfer" Not great, but different to Wayne refusing to play.
Does anyone know anything for sure? If he was told he wasn't wanted next year that could have put him off, especially if he knew Ferguson was leaving so it was basically the club saying they don't value him (at his current wages) any more?
Or maybe he didn't want to be the story. Considering what was going on he was right to not be in the limelight. That's giving him the benefit of the doubt. Either way, I don't think deserves to be slated. Nor do I sympathise with him in any way. He can just leave, if he wants to go. Preferably quietly.
