Whilst this was clearly a hugely embarrassing cock up, I'm very relieved that there wasn't a real security breach.
Read Stan Collymore's thoughts on this episode. He suggests that this was a very real threat and that this is a mere cover story. I'm inclined to believe that there may be more to this than is being reported.
I agree. Nonetheless his attitude is refreshing. Whilst most are mocking the ineptitude of an unnamed security company, Stan's questioning the accepted narrative.
.....and the CIA orchestrated 9/11, aliens are being dissected in the New Mexico desert, and the EU is a Zionist/Masonic/Trotskyite front. The day I take Stan Collymore as a source of authority is the day I admit that the dementia has kicked in.
As I always say about these things, what is the most likely explanation? First you have to provide evidence that the most probable chain of events was not the case before you start making **** up. And I don't mean 'evidence' like the 9/11 conspiracy theorists create. I'm quite happy to go with incompetence, followed by a well done for what looked like a calm and well ordered stadium evacuation. Mind you, it's some time since we've had a conspiracy theory thread and I always enjoy them, in a slack jawed 'why would you believe that' kind of way. Where's Pils the Hoop when you need him?
Manure are forking out about £3m on the replay tomorrow, I don't think this is any sort of conspiracy. Who is conspiring? To what effect? Conspiracy theorists are what the internet was designed for. Or was it?
Word is, he was bundled into the back of a hummer, not seen for about 12 months. Incidentally, I was looking around my profile the other day and found a message from Ellers offering a very decent handshake, following our 12 rounds last year. I'd never seen it, and duly replied. Did you see that Ellers? So, who carries out these security exercises? Is it an internal proceedure? A device, probably with a ID number on it is logged out from a store somewhere, placed in a recorded location and it's game on. Is that how it goes?
Just heard on the radio that it was a private company, who carried out security exercises at all grounds last week. Someone's head will roll.
If you do any kind of training exercise, don't you count out what you give and count it all back in again? Maybe Collymore is right but I don't think we will ever know 100%. Plus, it wouldn't be the first football ground targeted.
You must be psychic Woody or it's a conspiracy because i was only thinking about that the other day. When looking at another thread i saw people doing 12 rounds and remembered how i was being a muppet on that conspiracy thread and i did indeed send out an apology for my stupidness.
Whenever I think of Collymore I can only remember the phone-in when the caller says of a Frank Lampard penalty "he hit that like you hit Ulrika".
Although Manure are forking out £3 mill, is that including compensation to fans? Fuel costs / travel costs aren't cheap and for the ordinary fan two trips up north and back is going to be costly. Plus re-arranged game will mean some will now need time off work. If Man U sue the training company for the enormous cock up, I am assuming the fans will get some piece of the pie as well? (When I say fans that travel I also want to include the Man U fans in the south)
