I've really enjoyed reading and posting every now and again on this board over the last couple of seasons but this season its just become overly repetitive and boring. First problem is the over negative people, they think we'll be the new derby and that all of our players aren't good enough etc. They're entitled to their opinion but it seems like they almost want us to fail so they're right. Second problem is the over positive people. Now being positive is great and all but it gets flipping boring aswell. All I seem to read is the same things again and again 'we played the best sides' 'trus in NC and NA' 'The team is still learning'. These are all good points but it seems like they're just reeled out to counter any negativity. Solution? Some intelligent disscussion hopefully! If someone has a different opinion do you really need to slag them off? Can't you just explain why you think they're wrong? Do we really need this positive negative split? If you are trully positive and can't think of anything negative to say then fair enough but I reckon some poeple on here feel they cant say anything negative unless they become a dreaded 'negative fan'. Some good discussion about our short commings (we obviously have some we've conceded 14 goals already!) and our positives (we very nearly beat both city and united!) and how we might improve would be great. Anyway just my thoughts feel free to tell me I'm wrong if you like .
I agree , I am in the negative camp to many , realism and opinion that we genuinely not have a good enough team just not come into it , you trying to reason though will only get your grammar mistakes pointed out , I wish you luck in your quest to bridge the gap between good and evil .
Considering that you're the main source of this problem, you have no right to complain. Coming on here after games and seeing the same people bitching and moaning on several threads is what is the most boring. It's not insightful, not analytic, and not intelligent discussion. People want to use this site to have proper conversation, add their insight and hear the insight of others, and it's hard to do so when every other post is a frustrated fan passive-aggressively relieving his stress by angrily lambasting players and staff.
Excuse me , I thought this was a forum not a ego massaging place for weak souls to lie and console themselves we are better than we actually are .
Someone has swallowed the big book of psychological pronouciations. Get over yourself, just because people are critical doesn't mean they are negative! Everyone shares a common goal in wanting the team to succeed in this division and on the basis of what we have seen so far this season there are both positives and negatives to be discussed. I think people that discuss the negatives are more realistic at this stage because fundamentally the negatives have cost us 14 bloody goals...many of which could have been avoided. If some people can't get the heads out of their own asses and see this then it isn't the fault of the the so called "negative" fans is it! I am over opinionated on occasion and my view sometimes cause upset but I want everyone's opinion straight back at me as it helps me see other views and actually is created the purpose for what we are here...discuss an debate! Stop bashing individuals and discouraging posters!
Did I once use the word "negative"? The point that you're completely missing here is that some people are capable of criticising constructively, whereas some post multiple threads effectively saying "our defence is ****, told you so" and not adding the slightest bit of constructive criticism. Don't try for a second to put that stupid, ranting garbage that we have to put up with after every game on the same shelf as reasonable, thoughful criticism. They are two very different things.
I tried reasoned posts as well and that still got shot down as being negative and not "on the bus" pyshcobabble bullshite if you ask me but there we go , Nige has to stop coming out with codshite and coming out with the old "Our number 6 was ****e today but the lad will get another chance" Fergie hairdryer Cloughs dry wit Wengers analytical approach After half of Nigel interviews I feel confused , do the players feel confused ?
That line right there - that says to me that you knew that your previous posts had been unreasoned. For the record, I have always responded sensibly and considerately to your more reasoned posts, but you can't blame people for jumping on everything you say when you spend a lot of time on here posting purposely inflammatory comments. And you've just admitted that you do that.
Joe are you saying that I have tried unreasoned posts ? Well right before you and check my history , I can do so for yours and no you have not always responded like that , its funny how we paint a little picture of ourselves , now find unreasonable threads I have started ? I always thought they inspired debate , people get drawn to my posts like a moth to a flame........................
I don't mind people showing their different opinions it's what makes a board not boring. The thing that does bore me is when the same **** is said again and again. Yes we all have different opinions but do people have to make thread after thread on the same ****e.
Clearly we have differing opinions on what is reasonable and what isn't. Let me put it a different way: I have responded sensibly to your posts which I thought were well reasoned.
Just like to say I feel that some of the most positive things since cortese took the reigns has actually come out in the first four matches! -Ward prowse....wow what a player -Lallana stepping up his game -lambert getting a chance to shine. -playing in front of 32,000 -lallana getting an England call up - saints getting international recognition with international players - showing that we can compete with the best (arsenal excluded) -looking just on the basis of 45 mins in an awful game to be a saints fan Gaston Ramirez looks a world talent. If you ask me whether I think continuing as we are with the way we are playing will keep us up....doubtful! Do I think things will change....yes and quicker than you lot think! Alot of you crave loyalty and the moral high ground but having studied cortese with an interest and he doesn't share your views and if things don't change soon he will change them himsleff irrespective of who's caught in the crossfire!
My point exactly concerning to whom will the "positives" align themselves with , my guess is they would drop Adkins in a heartbeat as its what the "don" wants .
Have you ever thought it's part of his character? It's like someone saying to you, you're not charming/funny/witty/smart enough. You can try and actively change that but you won't be as Witty as Clough or won't be as Smart as Wenger or as Annoying as ... Fergie.
I like dry humour and a downbeat kind of look at life , an example is a friend of mine is wealthy enough to really not think about the bills and what tomorrow brings and yet he has this gallows humour which is amazing , unique in fact , my wife is happy at the smallest thing (yes I know) which i also find very appealing .
Yes but I have loads of charm , wit and charisma so you must of written incorrectly there........................................
Just add gomarching in and nath clyne is dr dre to your ignore list, and the forum becomes worth reading again. I wish you would all stop quoting them though, means I keep accidentally reading their opinions.
