Outfield I think Alonso or Bardo but overall it has to be Mannone. In the first half Man Utd didn't have much but around when they scored Vito pulled out a cracker and then one in the second half as well. Add to that the penalty performance and he's got to be the single biggest reason you got through (and take a moment to contrast his performance with De Gea).

If Bardsley hadn't scored it would have been Cattermole, they started coming straight through our midfield after Catts went off.
It showed just how much of a job he was doing there.
The commentator was continually having to invent different phrases for "another good interception by Cattermole there."

So Bardsley MOTM with honourable mentions for Catts, Ki and Borini. <ok>

But a very pleasing "team" performance once again.
Once again nearly let down by a schoolboy error by the same player as usual.

For a lad who has been here 5 mins, is only 22 years old and has come into the club from abroad I thought Alonso was awesome tonight against a very tricky opponent. He also had the massive nads to take a crucial penalty and score as cool as **** as well.

The whole team deserve a 10 but Alonso gets an 11 from me.

Ki, man of the match in both legs for me. Outstanding and won the middle battle. He covered every blade of grass. Amazing player and we must go all out to sign him.

I agree he had a great game, but was helped out a lot by Gus's tactic of having someone straight over to cover with him when Januzaj was attacking him.
Offered a lot going forward too. <ok>

honestly i thought our defence and midfield were terrific so pick anyone of them for outfield MOTM, But at the end of the day Mannone has stole the show and put us in the final

Altidore is just ****ing shocking, he can't be allowed to continue. Fletcher doesn't look like scoring when we play this way. New striker desperately required.

Altidore was laughably awful when he came on sadly. If we had a goal scorer we'd be pushing for Europe, well maybe mid table. We are crying out for pace too. However and piss taking aside. Every man gave his all to the cause tonight but my man of the match goes to the 9,000 plus fans who took the roof off tonight. Never outsang.and could still be heard well after the final whistle when Gary Neville was trying to get his head round it!

Alonso, just ahead of Bardo, but many were very close to the same level.

I just look at Alonso & see a proper footballer, touch of a decent midfielder & always looking to make things happen.

Hope we keep the lad, I'd sign him right now if possible.

Bardo looked dead on his feet 2 or 3 times and pulled it back, the lad is a machine at times.
