Personally, I'd go for Snodgrass - I thought he had a magnificent game. I have to be honest and say I'd had doubts about him and whether he was an improvement on E Bennett, but in this game he proved me wrong big-time.

How I wish that volley from Johnson had gone in. It was the kind of timing of run off the ball, perfect dinked ball over the top, controlled dipping volley, that would have had the reporters from the Daily Telegraph creaming their pants had it come from one of the big teams.

Snodgrass for me too, certainly saw much more of him as a threat.

Everyone put in a decent shift though <ok>

to be fair, the MOTD report and comment was as good as we could hope for, in respect of both teams. i just hope we can unearth a Michu in January though. he was a real threat throughout the game.

I agree snoddy was man if the match. He was excellent. Looked really dangerous but also tracked back to defend every time looked absolutely shattered and Bennett was about to come on before he scored and Hughton sat him back down. Hopefully this will be a watershed moment for him, we all knew what he could do but we have only seen it in fits and starts.

Only a couple of weeks ago, I was being critical of some of his set piece deliveries which were woefully over/under hit.
Well, after his goal and the sumptuous ball in for Holt to power home, I'd like to state that I stand corrected <yikes> <sorry> :emoticon-0111-blush

I was with you cromer, I wonder if he might have been thinking it himself, he never let up all game. Johnson was also really good as was Howson.

It seems as though CH has sat him down and shown him the free kicks Southampton took against us - with pace.

You know who my man of match was.

Broke up play really well, and that move was first class.

Would have been "goal of the season"

Laudrup only pulled off the Michu signing because of Vallecano's financial situation and Michael Laudrup's profile. He was wanted by a lot top European teams.

Not that here is anything wrong with that, but I think a number of elements meant he could go so cheap to Swansea.

There are a fair few clubs with finance problems in Spain at the moment though, and probably definitely worth looking at for bargains still, not sure they'll be as good as Michu though, I seriously think that he'll be playing at City/Chelsea/United in the future.

I was calling for Snodgrass to be dropped after the Sunderland game. I'll be honest I've not been majorly impressed with him but he sounds like his played brilliantly.

I was watching the game in a local pub (Surman was in there too) and can assure you that yesterday was the best Smnoddy has played for us and he'd get my vote as MoM, but as others have said, once again there wasn't a really bad player. Long may it continue!!!

My personal motm was Bradley Johnson, seemed to step up in second half when swansea were gathering momentum, winning the ball at crucial times and not just hoofing it down field. Thought Howson was poor in the second half as well and Bradley looked a lot better than him. Also a few times drove team forward and looked a much more all round midfielder than previous displays. But mainly for when they had the panic setting in he was a calm and decisive decision maker and won the ball well. Lots of other good performances as well, Snodgrass' flair came out and that probably ultimately won us the game but johnson for me kept us in the game at 3-2 and gave snodgrass the chance to secure it.

    Snoddy for me too
I must admit I moaned a bit about him at st Mary's (we are a fickle bunch) but he was ace yesterday
Good to see howson back, he's probably a bit short of sharpness
