again many to choose from, great performance from all team. Could have chosen Barton, Diakite, Mackie, Buz, Taiwo, all did great, and no one did poorly, but had to go for Hill, kept us in game with a couple blocks from bad situations, and really ruled again in defence!!!

GIVE THE MAN A NEW CONTRACT!!!

I might have given it to Clint Hill but I give it to Barton today considering he's come back from a low point and quit the Twittering.

For all of of the plaudits to other team-mates which I fully understand. Only one player really stood out head and shoulders above any one else and that was our Captain.. Joey Barton. Diakite and Hill ( What a revelation and such a great player, he is really Mr Dependable and my player of the season.) but Barton took this game by the horns and lead us to victory.
It was overall a great team victory, but if one man deserved it, it was Joey.

I went Diaktie but no arguments with it going to Joey or Hill, great overall performance by the whole team.

I have criticised Joey Barton in the past when he was not performing up to expectations or up to his ability but I have to give praise where it is due. He had a fantastic game: great tackles, great energy in closing down the opposition, great passing and what a goal?!!!

Whilst the whole team played well, honourable mentions must also go to the awesome Clint Hill (again!), the athlete known as Samba Diakite, man mountain Taye Taiwo and the one man hurricane, Jamie Mackie.

Great stuff lads and well done Joey!

Barton looked like he ran the game, scored the all important opener, and cleared off the line so go for him too. But Hill and Diakite were excellent as well, and I thought all who started played well last night. I should also mention Kenny who I wouldn't have picked after Cerny played so much better than him when he was injured. But I've thought the last 2 or 3 games Paddy's been back closer to his best and think MH is right to play him now, in particluar to keep a settled defense. Ferdinand is also getting some form back.

Can't bring myself to vote for Barton although he clearly ran the show last night. Maybe with a few more performances like that I can finally start to think of him as a Ranger, But until then... Diakite was majestic.

Had to be Joey for me. He's come through a lot and he is now showing in the way he should that he cares about the club. Near thing though. Any of them could have had it, except, perhaps, Bobby who gave it away a bit too much.
