Clint for me, thought he was very composed and read the game well, Derry had a good game overall as well, the two old-timers earned their stripes...

Voted Barton as he probably more than anyone showed our really hard working determined team performance - he was all over the park. But Hill, Zamora, Onouha and Traore were all about as good. Both backs worked very hard and did very well in attack and defense.

There were a lot of good performances today: Hill gets it by a whisker for that second half tackle.

Derry was superb playing in front of the back four, Traore looked a much better LB than Taiwo, especially going forward. Barton had a good game (not something I've said before) battling the impressive Fellaini. Zamora chased everything and was winning headers (what a change from last week). Buzz had one of his better games and Taraabt looked dangerous and tireless, including making a defensive header (a first).

Zamora had a good game as did Hill. Buz and Derry were ok.

Glad you've acknowledged all of those players. I think SWP deserves a mention today, too. He was effective and worked really hard.

Infact, I think the whole team played well today. No one had a bad game.

    This <ok>

On performance, Zamora. Hill, if you consider what is expected of a Championship stallwart, he performed out of his skin today and above what is expected from him. Top man!

Watched Zamora closely today (on TV) and thought he was super. His movement, positional play and ability to draw a foul from defenders was first class. He impressed me today. Was also great to see Traore bombing forward. He constantly drives past defenders and i think he will generate many free kicks and penos for us. Hill was very solid and IMO Barton deserves a mention. I thought he was excellent today. First time i have said that. He will get no complaints from me if he continues to play like that.

Only negative was i felt Kenny should have saved Drentes shot. His distribution was much better however.

How anyone can vote for Buzz is beyond me!! He played well, but he missed a complete sitter that my 12 year old would have buried with his eyes closed. Can't make him m.o.t.m. after that!! Hill for me....marginally from Zamora.

Has to be Hill - first match in ages I was not too scared when they came forward. I thought Buzz and Tarabt did well both seem more energetic and put tackles in - Trarabt even said sorry for some of the possession lost (the goal) and others - and much as it pains me - Bartons best game for us....

Hill for me was outstanding can't believe the stick he gets on this board a complete pro goal saving tackle and looked dangerous from set pieces, you simply can't ask for any more from a centre half.

SWP still disapointing with the end product i.e. that cross come shot come pass effort in the 2nd seems to sum up his season, however his workrate and defensive duties could not be faulted. I agree with others that this was one Bartons better games but he still can't pass for toffee, no pun intended;)

I thought Hill played extremely well; my feeling about Buz was based on his hitting that post - that was 2 points we could have used lost

Col: bad miss by Buzz, but otherwise, to be fair, he had a very good game! Tarbs was not good today, gave the ball away in critical positions and almost cost us the game. Hill performed stoicly and did well; Zammo performed well as the man up front and took his chance. Thought JB played his part today. Overall, as a team, we played much more as a team than for some time. The future looks like there might be some smiles ahead for Superhoops fans :)

What I saw was the MH fitness plan and work rate coming through. Early days but a lot more cohesion. Starting to look like a team. Adel's looking a tad ordinary but much more part of - maybe that's a good thing for now. Settle then rise...

As for the team today: what they call a solid, all round performance, I'd say. Shame there's no poke. BUT the day goes to our Clint Hill. Second tier journeyman days are over mate. A rising premier league star and with juice for the CB job in the tank still. Warnock said he was quite a guy. Not wrong was he?
