Mackie's got to be MOM. Hall, Barton, Adel and Onouha come after in about that order for me. Buz was our worst by a mile, and surely will be replaced by Diakite next game. Paddy should be replaced by Cerny, first goal at least was very stoppable. Apart from a few good crosses from Traore and SWP, the rest were under PL standard.
Mackie did very well, but for me Zamora was a hero with no support whatsoever for the majority of the match. At least we know that Adel is not a substitute striker now - he will always seek the midfield space.
To be fair to Barton that's three successive games now where he's had to try and do the job of two. Buzsaky was really, really poor. Onuoha, Zamora and Taarabt were ok, Mackie was superb and the rest were atrocious.
Mackie came on and scored the goals, but for the 90 mins the only player for us showing any kind of commitment was Taraabt, and when you hear that as a statement you know we're in trouble.
Well done Jamie. A few weeks ago I posted a thread on here .... 'If you could play one player from our squad in every position, who would it be?' If we had eleven Jamie Mackies on the pitch today we would of won.
