    I actually rated the ref quite highly for yesterdays game. I am of the opinion that the quality of refereeing has been dire over the last 6 or so years. But he put in a good performance. Seemed fair, balanced and saw most of what was going on.

    I was also surprised by Matt Philips. I thought he upped his game and played better in that more central role he played later on. He also took several good dead ball kicks.

    BZ tried hard and changed things. Almost (should have) scored.

    Isla and Vargas had an impact.

    I thought Sheffield made us look like we were improving because they took their foot off the pedal to a degree after going ahead by two goals. We did improve but I think their relaxing made it look better than it was.

    Isla was so much more affective in making space and threat going forwards in comparison to Onuoha. In Nedum's defence, that's not his true position but we're good at playing players out of position.
