City don't yet believe that they can win tight games like this.

Might just cost them in the end.

Good week for an Arsenal fan :). Also, the Man Utd loss is still far more humiliating than the Man City loss - at home, against the bottom side and Man City lost to a goal that was offside.

    So don't gloat too much.

Yes but the difference is that when we lose, it's because we played ****. City didn't play ****, but they couldn't find a way to win and they ended up losing.

And how is it a good week for an Arsenal fan? Are you in the title race or something?

Maybe so, but city have lost that invincibility around them over the last few weeks and despite yesterday, we are still the in-form side.

Your point makes no sense, why is it better to lose while playing badly than playing well? Playing badly is a sign of things that could come, if you lose while playing well it is likely that you were hard done by.

Also, if you don't think this is a good week for an Arsenal fan you are quite the fool.

It's about showing the mettle of champions. Tight game, could go either way but making sure it goes your way. United have been doing this for years and City have yet to show that they can do it. Also it might sap confidence, and make them doubt that they can win similar games, especially against struggling sides who will be fighting for their lives in the second half of the season.

I'm sure it probably is a good week for Arsenal fans. I just barely noticed.

This. And also City failed to take advantage of a massive opportunity, with all three potential title challengers dropping points they blew a major chance to build a lead today. First time they have failed to win in consecutive PL matches this season, and with only three wins in the last seven games it'll be interesting to see how they will react.

It makes perfect sense - it's much easier to sort out problems that come from playing badly than it does to sort out what's going wrong if you play well but don't get the result. This is the main reason Arsenal and Liverpool have underachieved so badly over the last five or six seasons - they often play well but don't get the result, and their managers seem to have no clue what to do about it.

Mancini has 48 hours to prepare City for the Liverpool game. It'll be a real test of his managerial ability, if he can remove the doubt that must have crept in from the past 2 games.
