So what do we all think? I Read somewhere this morning that this is the biggest game ever. Is it or are Sky just guilty of over hyping as usual? It's a big game yes but there are still two more after this and as we all know that's plenty of time for more twists and turns. As for the match itself any score predictions. Will Mancini risk Mario? I can see the teams cancelling each other out and it being a boring draw. Views?
Man City have to go for this, because a United win will give them the title. Makes a change for the title race to be exciting. Come on, City.
Tevez will be MOTM and bag a couple in a City romp (is what I told myself when selecting my dream team for this week!).
United will win the title, if not this game. Because that's what they do. They remind me of the Liverpool team of the 70's and 80's. Non-Liverpool fans like me would say that they were boring, they'd lose to a big rival (like Saints in '84) but then still grind away and win the title.
May be a two horse race this season, but in 2012/13 could be a three horse race I can imagine Cortese saying modestly at the end of the season, 'I promised that Saints would never be relegated, so I just played safe and took the title,'
City have to win tonight, and I think they will. If City win tonight, they will win the title imo. Any other result, and the title goes (again) to the red half of Manchester.
Certainly not the "biggest game ever," I think we all know when that kicked off. However, it is pretty big. City will win this and all their remaining games as well. It's not quite the changing of the guard, as the Red half of Manchester are where they are because of their history, not through being bankrolled by spivs. But City's time has come round at last, imho.
At least Sky have something to show now the really important game is over. Got to fill the schedule somehow
I'm going to find a local pub for tonight's game and a relaxing pint. It will be a pleasure to watch a live match for the first time this season without the danger of bursting a blood vessel. I don't know about our players, but I'm exhausted.
Have to take Lamballana junior to cricket nets straight after work so will probably miss most of first half. Typical any other day in the last week they would have been rained off!
Will be a good game not sure even uniteds defence is good enough to hold off city for 90 minutes. And as city can't afford to draw they'll score then united will have to score etc etc etc, then an 8-6 thriller to city will be in the aftermath. Or a 0-0 draw who knows!
