Clucas doing the presser with Silva today, Marco up first... please log in to view this image “Getting back-to-back wins was important. The character and team spirit we showed against West Ham and Middlesbrough was pleasing.” “The results have given us more confidence for sure. We have two away games now and we have to improve our away form.” “Harry Maguire has done very, very good work in the last three months, but he is injured and it is a chance for another player.” (says he hasn't decided if it will be Dawson or Davies, but it has to be Dawson). “Manchester City are a very, very good team with a fantastic manager and players. We respect them like we do any other side.” “It is important we don’t change too much in our behaviour and spirit. We will go there and do our best to get a positive result.” “We need to believe and work hard. If you don’t work hard and have team spirit, it is impossible to achieve anything.” “ Until now, the boys work very hard. They understand what they need to do and it is important that we continue to believe.” Marco says there's been no discussion about his future, he's received no offer, but is just concentrating on the football. (pull your ****ing finger out Ehab) Clucas up now... “It’s been a great week for us with two important wins in what is a very important part of the season.” “To pick up maximum points from two games of such huge importance was brilliant.” “It’s great to be out of the bottom three now, but it’s more important that we’re out of the bottom three at the end of the season.” “We’ve always believed. We’ve got great team spirit here and we’ve just got keep going and continue to work hard.” “We have to concentrate on ourselves and do our job - that is our focus. It’s all about picking up as many points as possible now.” “We’re not going to Man City to just lay down. We want the three points. It’s 11-vs-11 and anything can happen in this league.” “Anything we can get will be a bonus, but we’ll go there full of confidence after our results in the last two games.” “We’re going into the game with no pressure, and we believe in ourselves and our ability to get a result.” The End .
If we can get any points from this game it will be a massive bonus. Hoping for a Palace type shock at Chelsea, though I'd be delighted with a point. Man City have been a bit patchy at home of late - Silva can maybe give Pep a managerial master class. I hope Bravo is in goal for City - improves our chances somewhat - he's gash.
Agreed hoping for a battling point but theres's always the danger of being spanked for 6 against these teams. Plus our away form is pretty dogshite. Hopeful but not confident.
I'm assuming... Jakupovic Elmo Dawson Ranocchia Robbo Markovic Clucas N'Diaye Grosicki Niasse Hernandez Marshall, Meyler, Maloney, Diomande, Davies, Henriksen, Evandro
Shame about Harry. With him I could easily see a 0-4. I might need to temper my expectations for this one. FFS.
Actually, I've changed my mind, I think it will be: Jakupovic Elmo Dawson Ranocchia Robbo Markovic Clucas Evandro N'Diaye Grosicki Niasse Marshall, Meyler, Maloney, Diomande, Davies, Henriksen, Hernandez
depends whether he wants to tighten things up being Man City away - I could see him play Evandro in the middle and leave Hernandez on the bench - although to be fair Niasse and Hernandez have been good together
Free hit to an extent, but with an eye on the West Ham v Swansea game and it would be nice to put a bit of pressure on Palace for Monday. Nick a draw or even the unthinkable win and we are in pole position.
The only thing we have in our favour is surprise. Citeh's stars will expect us to park the bus, so stick two up front and attack them early. if it gets us a quick goal then sit back, let them do the work and hopefully hit them again on the break.
To be honest I'd switch it up. Gives Dawson a bit of game time I suppose and Evandro needs to play because he keeps the ball up the field. Wouldn't be suprised to see. Jak Elmo Dawson Frog Robertson Markobvic N'Daiye Evandro Clucas Groski Niasse Wouldn't be suprised to see Meyler for Clucas, he was flagging Clucas and we need him for the up and coming games. Hes also played excellently without Huddlestone in there.
Our chief weapon is surprise...surprise and fear...fear and surprise.... Our two weapons are fear and surprise...and ruthless efficiency.... Our *three* weapons are fear, surprise, and ruthless efficiency...and an almost fanatical devotion to the Pope.... Our *four*...no... *Amongst* our weapons.... Amongst our weaponry...are such elements as fear, surprise.... I'll come in again...
I'm of the opinion, that whilst every game matters enormously to MS, the games against the supposed bigger teams matter to him just a tad more. Maybe its a personal examination of himself. Look at the games against Man Utd (twice) Arsenal (robbed) Chelsea (robbed) Liverpool... I have a feeling he and the team will be so up for this tomorrow.. 'Mantendo o sonho vivo'
