City played well on Sunday sure but their fans are becoming very irritating and the club moreso. I can see them becoming one of the most hated teams tbh. Yes their money has made them all smug but tbf it did with us for a bit. They copy the Poznan from both Lech and Aris. They seem to have stolen our 'One Step Beyond' which is ours. Their fans now seem to think they have the best support in the world and have started to slag us off. Lets remind ourselves that it was City who have failed to take the full 3200 allocation at Stamford Bridge in all the time I've known! It is getting a bit annoying...

I'm sure they've picked up a few gloryhunters but it's still predominantly the sort of people that were going in the Division Two days. One Step Beyond is hardly yours either- plenty of clubs do it.

But even you must admit... it's OUR 'One Step Beyond' and it's LECH's Poznan... not yours. Your fans are fickle and becoming ever moreso deluded.

Well we did start it as the lead singer is a massive Chelsea fan... Many of them were going to those games and they have done extremely well recently and I'm sure their fans can't believe it but I hope their support doesn't trun into one like United's...

City have always had good away support but never brought numbers to our place

I thought they were brilliant yesterday, always loud and very passionate. Our lot were poor yesterday, going on general sale can't have helped that.

Yeah tbh our fans were pretty poor. I wasn't there but listening on the radio you could tell they were louder. I would still say that our away fans our better than theirs though by a long way. Up there with United, Liverpool and Newcastle.

It's the time of year mate, after the season we had a lot of people will be skint after Munich, I know the people I usually go with were. Plus it's bang in the middle of the summer holidays. We sold out Wigan away fairly sharpish so it's all about priorities and anyone mocking our numbers (or City's for that matter) is a ****wit.

Indeed. We sold out 4700 for Wigan. I'm going to the game and can't wait for it! Loads of people I know couldn't go the the Charity Shield so you're right there...

Why are people impressed City averaged 28000 in division 2?

The one step beyond was a retaliatory thing from the club when we beat you at our place having suffered the full brunt of it at the bridge earlier in the season. Its just banter, don't see the issue
Poznan is a bit tiresome and is gradually going, but it was originally done as a mark of respect to the Poznan(hence the name)supporters who were the best we'd ever seen at our ground, they were mental
Most of these trends are started at the away games by the hard core following and is usually done in jest, like the kolo & yaya song yesterday.
As regards the allocation take up at the Bridge,it's something between the supporters clubs and the club not happy with the price so they decided to boycott the extra seating

Can't remember if it was last season or the one before, but when City came there was a guy with a mic thanking the fans on behalf of the Chairman.

Both those clubs could sell out to supporters from
    London
We did it a few years ago when Wigan were taking the piss with doubling the price so everyone boycotted the game

I actually couldn't disagree more with the OP.

I can't speak highly enough of City fans. How must it have felt watching United win title after title and having your nose rubbed in it everyday? 30,000 average in the 3rd tier is just insane. Hardly any Premier League Clubs usurped that and no Championship/Division 1 clubs I know of did.

It's all part of the banter. City have the best team in England and have won the PL, why shouldn't they be able to boast about their achievements? We've been doing the exact same since we won the CL. Sorry to say it but City's fans were much better than ours at VP. I would kill to have an atmosphere and the type of fan they do at Eastlands. It's not yet become corporate like so many London grounds + United.

Seems like a misinformed thread to me fuelled by bitterness and jealousy. I'd rather City win the league every year for the next 10 than see repulsive and loathsome clubs like Arsenal, Spurs, United or Liverpool win it even once.
