If that happens, Liverpool's owners will be on the phone to VT post haste.

Can't believe that wearing a shirt under your football shirt with a suit never caught on.

Seemed like such an inspired fashion choice at the time.

    Sigh.

Used to go across to Weston and Ilfracombe with my mam and dad, but don't remember going from Porthcawl - it was usually from Penarth (I think).

The Balmoral and The Waverley. I think they stopped at Porthcawl from time to time. At high tide only of course.

Did an evening booze cruise from Penarth across the channel to Avonnouth, down to Ilfracombe and back many years ago. On The Waverley I think. Thankfully the water was calm otherwise I would have spent the evening talking to Hughie and Ruth. :emoticon-0132-envy:

I get sea sick walking over a deep puddle in a high wind. :emoticon-0119-puke::emoticon-0119-puke::emoticon-0119-puke:

I was the same Bluey. Long time ago went on football tour (piss up) with a local club across to Ostend to pay a few games in Belgium. Decent enough ferry, but spent the entire crossing in the bog throwing up.

Was dreading the return trip but it was flat calm. Anyway I was so knackered I slept throughout and had to be "found" before the coach disembarked......<doh>

Funnily enough been loads of time since later in life on longer crossings across from Plymouth to Roscoff, and Harwich to Bremerhaven, Hamburg and Gothenburg across the North Sea etc with no problem. Maybe something to do with time developing antibodies to alcohol......<laugh>

Once played drums on the Waverley. Trying to load the gear onboard with a 10 feet rise and fall at the end of Penarth pier. Guitarist threw up just as we were passing Barry. To his credit, he turned his head to the left thus hitting the keyboard player. I was on his right hehe. We were never very good, but that night the entire audience were bad.

You sure it was a lady not a laddie?
Easy to mix those up, especially with your mask on.
