Not sure what to make of this one. Bit of a shock if true, but I wouldn't stand in his way. It goes to show what potential there is for Allen if a club like Man city are after Sinclair. Surely Allen should hold out for a better club than Liverpool based on this http://www.caughtoffside.com/2012/0...bid-for-swansea-city-attacker-scott-sinclair/
Not the first time I've seen this story. According to Dai, Sinclair has already said he wants to go. Based on Sinclair's recent comments about Laudrup and wanting to work with him that can't be true. No surprise there. Depends on what the player wants if this story is true.
To be honest, this doesn't bother me half as much as the Allen saga does. Mainly because I'd rather not lose Allen, but also because it's not rogers trying to rape us. it's funny that rogers is only linked with the Swansea players he inherited and not with any that he brought in
We could always look At a swap deal involvin Adam Johnson i would gladly take that baby i think it is a no brainer
This is a very strange one with man city's interest in sinclair, I cant see why they would go for him TBH. I could understand if he had a good season but it was not the best, I just cannot see any reason why they would want him, they can get any player ten times better than scott with their loose change....unless their manager has seen something in him that none of us have seen.... fascinating and one to see what develops....
Talksport said this morning that Laudrup is having a meeting with Sinclair today to discuss a bid from Manchester City. Looks like ML is in for a busy day as he's scheduled to be meeting with Joe Allen as well. I don't understand Citeh's approach to be honest. No disrespect to Sinclair but they can afford far better than him and they've already got better anyway such as the likes of Adam Johnson etc. The rumoured figure is £8 million and if I was ML I would be tempted to take it. That amount would buy us a very good replacement from abroad. The only downside is that the heart of last season's team that did us so proud, looks to be breaking up and I believe that too many changes too soon, might have a detrimental effect on performance and, perhaps, even team spirit. Both Allen and Sinclair now know what the PL is all about and, more importantly, they know our style of play. No matter how good the replacements are they will take time to achieve this and we do not want to be playing catch up in this league.
Ivor, I would tend to agree that too many changes could have a detrimental effect. If I had a choice, I would prefer Joe to stay and Sinclair to leave, especially if we could get £8m for Sinclair.
And their quoting the Mirror so it's defineately not true,,But incase Mancini has lost his marbles and there might be something in it then straight swap for Adam Johnson please..
I'd be happy to take the 8 million and let Gwiron Edwards earn his spurs - worst case we have Routledge - and we can go shopping.
I would rather keep Sinclair and flog Allen for his target price, Allen is way over price at £15 million and you cant look a gift horse in the mouth, with his money we could buy 3 Joe allen's.....
