Just chatting with my Gooner mate last night and he set out a very scary scenario.

Over the next couple of years, Man City will assemble a team without compromise. If players like Adebayor and Bellamy ( both key players for competing teams) can be surplus to requirements; if Tevez can still get his £900,000 a month wages for staying at home; if Džeko and Nasri can kick their heels on the bench............we both reckoned they could have in effect three teams.

A EPL team to do the business
A CL team to win them glory
A FA/Carling cup team to push experience of youth squad.

Makes you wonder what might have happened to Newcastle if Ashley's middle east adventure a few year back had come to fruition when he was hawking the club around.

    Well I can wish anyway.........

I don't want a mega rich owner like City. I would fear for our future with the extortionate wages being thrown around at Eastlands! I want an owner with a similar business plan as Ashley, but has the heart of Shepherd. So we can be financially astute, but we wont sell our best players and we can still invest say £10/20 million a year on players like Cabaye etc.

    This.

Somebody who takes fans interests into account (unlike MA) and has a stable business model is all I want. Maybe invest a steady £15 million every season on players but also rely heavily on our scouting setup and academy. They also need to not overpay on wages. Pretty much the best bits of Shepard and Ashley put together. That would be my perfect owner, not some Arab billionaire.
