I don't know whether it's already been mentioned but Mally Thompson (ex. North Ferriby, Goole, Scarborough) has recently died. Good lad and a pretty decent centre forward in his day - we always knew him as "fatty" Thompson although, of course, he never was. Really sorry to hear of his death.
Scored a goal at Wembley I believe. Was in my little sister's class at school in Hessle. He was a good larker. RIP .
