Well America has Ferguson, we have Malky.
(look it up)
Puts things in perspective doesn't it?
Edit - there was another one there today, less than 3 miles from the first police shooting.
Occasional lurker here chipping in to represent toon fans that stand up against racism, sexism and homophobia, since sadly no-one on this thread seems to think it's a problem. As far as I'm concerned Mackay and Moody's messages are indefensible, and it's disappointing to see it trivialised as 'banter' both on here, and (more importantly) by the LMA. I personally wouldn't have anything to do with anyone who said things like that, but even if we were to dismiss the racist/sexist jokes as just 'stupid mistakes', the "not many white faces in there but worth considering" remark demonstrates active racist discrimination. It's not even "not many english/british players…", it's white players. There are plenty of jobs out there for people who harbour those attitudes, but being a Premiership manager is definitely not one of them.
Saying what's happening in Ferguson puts it into perspective is just silly. I was going to comment on how few people who've marched against Mike Ashley's ownership would have also marched against, say, the bombing of Gaza- or if you'd rather keep it closer to home- the dismantling of the NHS and/or the ongoing Tory crippling of the North East. But saying that would be silly too. Because the mess in Ferguson is the result of institutionalised racism at boiling point- and comments/attitudes like Mackay and Moody's are little pieces of that same bigger picture, which is why we have to challenge them.
Apologies that I only seem to get motivated to post when I get annoyed at bigotry masquerading as laddism.

That's why secret organisations should stay secret. So nobody questions why this secret organisation that does nothing but pays it's members ridiculous sums exists.Numerous things about this case interest me.
1. How did someone else see his text messages? Did Tan go through his messages like a jealous girlfriend???
2. Why are people surprised conversations between two people in the football world are as dumb as this? Football is the preserve of idiots, run by idiots, and supported by idiots, and intellectuals who temporarily become idiots.
3. The LMAThat's why secret organisations should stay secret. So nobody questions why this secret organisation that does nothing but pays it's members ridiculous sums exists.
1. Tans team searched his house after they signed that useless striker and found texts and emails
2. Is it that bad? Me and my mates exchange all kinds of racist/sexist stuff for a joke, oversensitivity. None of us are racist or sexist
