That could be the way - the boy should be given a go at the sharp end. I reckon he could come good. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/24913092
I for one am glad Joe is staying put. He's done it in a cup final against top opposition why not in the Prem?
While I believed the loan and game time would do him good, I am also pleased that he is staying and the message Malky is giving is that he will get game time. However, for Joe, or indeed any of our strikers, to succeed they will need good service and see a lot more of the ball that our front players see at present. I don't know what catalyst Malky sees as making this happen other than after the next 2 games we have 6 games in December, 4 against potentially sides of lesser ability than some of those we have played. Although the 6 games include a trip to Liverpool and home to Southampton, Neither of those will be easy on their current form and I can't see us being too adventurous with them.
Agree with Sparkey, we've become one dimensional and it needs a shake up. We are not expected to get anything from the next two games so give it a go. Went to Villa Saturday and was well pissed off because Villa were there for the taking.
We are not expected to take much from Man U & Arsenal. Should Malky give a game or two to some of these? Connolly, Hudson, Cornellius, Smith, Gestede, Noone, Mason, Maynard & John.
Curiouser and curiouser, this is strange, unless we have had some injuries or other problems we are not being made aware of, this is not normal. I can't imagine this is a last minute change of heart by Malky, he doesn't work that way, well he hasn't so far.
Apparently Mason deal is on hold until injuries to Odi and Rudi are sorted. In WOL but can't post link from ipad.
Yeah, I heard that he's going to be so adventurous he's considering having 2 slices of toast in the morning instead of his usual one and may even have some jam on one!
Judging by the way you folded in the Derby we wont need to worry about being more adventurous against you lot. Its the teams down there who will put up a fight we need to attack. Otherwise we will be drawing games we should win.
The only problem with this though Dai, is surely those playing week in week out deserve the opportunity to play against the top sides in the league. Also you were expected to get thumped against Man City and everyone knows what happened with that result. If I was Malky I would start with your strongest available sides against Utd and Arsenal and if the result is going tits up (as would be expected) then he could always pull some of the key players off. Plus you have to take into account the goal difference and with a weakened side, if you were to ship 3-5 goals in each game, that could have a serious implication later on in the season.
Next 2 games for us Man U & Arsenal you took 0 points so anything is a bonus. Next 2 for you Fulham & Man City will you beat our points total against them ?
