Reports that a press conference to be held at around 1pm, so it says on the other site http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/live-cardiff-city-boss-malky-6441759
Again Malky has made things public!!! Saying he wanted to talk to Tan but Tan refused to see him. The chairman sorted this mess out so he could stay and that was the end of the matter but not for Malky...it is almost like he wants Tan to go and is inciting more trouble. This is from a guy who keeps saying he is only concentrating on the football side of things. I give up. jck
We all know Malky will be gone sooner rather than later, I have to agree with jck200 Malky has now risked further aggravation by mentioning Tan has refused 2 appointments and this could put the cat among the pigeons again.
A meeting has been scheduled for Friday between Tan and Malky. I have to wonder why Malky then came out with certain things to upset the apple cart ?? Malky is playing a blinder so far he is on the attack all the time, Now if he could just try it with his team selection we might see some decent football.
Sound bites eh! Here's the whole interview. Probably we will all hear things differently and judge accordingly. Pick out your favourite sound bite. http://www1.skysports.com/watch/vid...cardiff-city/9086636/mackay-remains-resilient
To be honest, I believe that whatever the redoubtable scot mow says, he is pig sick that he wasn't sacked, and able to leave with a swagful of money, his pride and reputation intact, and with almost certainty of a post of similar standing. I mean he can"t strengthen in the next weeks, he daren't suffer a few bad results, and he must hate his situation. He wants to force the inevitable, which will surely come in my opinion!
Malky did not have to mention 2 meetings were declined, al he had to say was a meeting has not yet been arranged. I am not backing Tan here but Malky needs to say a little less and not give that detail, it will only serve to infuriate Tan, perhaps that is Malkys aim, we will never know I guess.
Your probably right Taff but if you were backed into a corner what would you do? I know what I would do. Three months he's waited for talks.
I believe Malky did it on purpose ITI because he wants out of it and who can blame him? This must be the worst example of business world meets football. Tan does not understand football and cannot get involved as he has been doing. Malky should not divulge private conversations to the press either. The time was to say less and that time was today in my opinion.
I have to agree here, no need to mention anything other than a meeting is being arranged, MM turning the screw in an effort to get his pay-off maybe. Of course Tan might be waiting for the results on Boxing day, hoping for a bit of ammunition himself, nothing like a loss mixed with some dire play to give fans a change of heart. At the end of it, regardless of how bad Tan is, and he is, Malky is deliberately adding fuel to the fires.
You could be right Taff. The football world has been united behind Malky due to his dignified silence.
If 'I give up' means not posting naive nonsense then good. The idea that Malky should say nothing after the debacle of the salt few days is utterly preposterous. We have right to bra his opinion and he has a rig to say it as it is and not hide behind ingratiating comments and sycophancy. He's been treated appallingly and while I would not say that he's entirely blameless on the spending front, to suggest that he should quiet is not only quite wrong, it is cowardly. He has a right to come out fighting anc you, as a city fan, IMO are coming out with some bizarre nonsense. Rant over.
I think Malky could over play his hand, there are plenty who want's him gone but hate Tan so much they are jumping on the Malky bandwagon. Myself I'd like to see Malky see out this season, then go from there.
He sounds like a man ready to leave. He thought he was getting sacked, and I think he was ready for it. He knows he will be in another job soon. He was obviously surprised to still be in the job, but he doesn't want to put up with Tan anymore. Sounds like a Malky is saying to Tan "If you won't sack me, then back right off." I am actually at the point that I don't care anymore. If Tan wants to sack Malky, fine. Let's see who else he gets in. If he brings in somebody with a reputation, I think Tan will automatically quiet down. It appears to me as if he doesn't respect Malky, so he will probably leave a person he respects alone.
The last thing we need at this stage is a change of manager, we have two spoilt kids sulking. Thank god we have a lot of games coming up because its what goes on during those games we need to worry about. It is good to see most posters can make decent comments with valid points even if they do not agree with my own personal views but can someone explain the comments that simply swear a lot while abusing other posters, they add no value and visitors will certainly get the impression these people are Cardiff city fans? jck
Good to see Malky was not the one who leaked the email story. Glad that lie has been cleared up. People might now stick to facts. http://www1.skysports.com/football/...ky-mackay-calls-in-lma-over-vincent-tan-email
Bob, it would be better that Malky didn't leak the Email himself, that wouldn't be a wise thing to do, but whether he had knowledge of it is still out there. Lots of different ways to look at this, Lim isn't in the clear and could well be the one that had a hand in it, it would be a good way to cause further problems to an already tense relationship between MM and Tan. I have also heard Issacs being mentioned as a possible baddie in this sad affairs, no love lost here apparently. It 's just such a shame that we fans have once again to put up with all this bollocks when we should be concentrating on our football.
Michael Issacs is according to some the biggest ****stirrer and has advised Tan to get rid of Malky on numerous occasions. We will never know what happened just a load more conspiracy theories created and written.
