Does everyone agree with playing Noone on the right?

He's gone so close cutting in and letting fly with his left that a few are bound to start going in.

On the other hand, he doesn't beat his fullback on the outside much and produce right foot crosses. Are we missing those pull-back byline crosses from the left?

Frei over there also seems to cut in onto his stronger right foot and play more of a linkup role.

We're trying to go through the middle more often know and not stretching defences wide - right or wrong?

    Right.

I think theres more chance of scoring on the inside than Helgusson getting on the end of a cross.

Said it before and got taken to task about it. Helguson will only get on the end of a cross if he's already in the box, say for a set piece or as a result of some City pressure play.

He'll never make up the ground quickly enough to get on the end of a cross when we're on a break.

Maynard's absence is a far bigger blow than we realised at the time for our upfront options - he needs replacing.

On balance and with Gestede not starting up till now, it's Noone on the right for me.

Personally I can't see why wingers can't alternate wings during games. I did it as a lad and messed with full backs heads. Who do you think should replace the Don today?

Gunnar from the start. Don on the bench as an option - the reverse of Malky's thinking recently.

I don't think the Don will feature today Spark. Carrying a knock from Charlton (not Bobby or Jack before you ask). Is this a chance for Kiss? (again before you ask ...........) :emoticon-0109-kiss:

OK, so who would you put out today?

For me, Taylor needs a go on the bench - his marking was as bad as anyone against Charlton.

Helguson will probaly start but I'd have him keep Taylor company today. Gestede to get his first chance from the off.

Kiss in for Frei would give us some more steel, but I'd start Frei.

    ........................Marshy.........................

    Connolly...Hudson....Turner.....McNuggs

    Noone.......Gunnar........Whitts.........Frei

    .........Gestede............Mason...............

I just think we have a soft centre at the moment. Kiss will let them know he's there. :emoticon-0165-muscl

Just shows how wrong we can be: -

"Noone cuts in from the right, crosses and Helguson heads in at far post" and gets a smack in the nose for his troubles!!!!

As commented elsewhere, I'm all for the wingers changing side from time to time just to keep the fullbacks on their toes. Just when they get used to turning the wide masn inside for the CB they get someone skinning them on the outside. It keeps the FB honest and gives the keeper and CBs something different to thnk about, a ball across the 6 yard box or a floated or driven cross. Varienty is the spice of life!
