finally we've got our man. although its taken a while, i've got to say i think the board have made the right decision. although i was also very much on the hughton / matteo bandwagon, someone mentioned the other day that they both managed teams which were pretty much guaranteed promotion, they both held their own in the PL, but they did what was expected of them. mackay clearly has something about him, and it'll be refreshing to say the least to have a manager who possibly feels the need to prove himself as a manager, after having a manager like dave jones who took his job here for granted. i hope we havent overpaid in terms of compensation but at least the money would be going to a good cause
