The post match comments from Cardiff manager Malky Mackay are silly and show him to be a bad looser. The decisions made by the match officials did not cost Cardiff the game. Simply Hull City were a far better side. I opened this thread as someone thought it correct to close the match thread instead of simply deleting the posts that offend. As for Malkys comments what do fans think ? I simply think MM is fudging the facts. For the record the Linesmans Flag went straight up before the header went in.
I still haven't seen any replays and I didn't even hear the commentary last night so I know very little about last night's game, but how often do you hear a manager moan about losing 3-0? I mean if we'd scored 3 penalties or something he'd have a point but how can you moan about a 3rd goal which made no difference to the result? Malky isn't even a real name anyway.
The guy is a cock anyway. He never accepts that when his team looses it might be his or their fault and he never will.
His comments are nothing new. His team were second best on their own patch for most of it, they missed some decent chances and he's pissed of because of it. All managers do it. I didn't see much of a pull on Mannone to be honest. I think we'd feel a little hard done by if that went against us. Mclean probably was just offside. I don't see how he was bang out of order.
Well established management ploy Create a smokescreen/ bogus controversy to deflect attention away from your own club's troubles Sign of a decent manager I'd say
MM is a typical Jock whinger. As IF his team has not won games with bad calls. Vito to me had his shirt pulled.
I still haven't seen it, but from what I've heard it was a soft free kick in our box. How often do you see soft free kicks in the box? Just because they wanted to carry on and score a pretend goal doesn't make it any more important than the other 100s of unexplained soft free kicks in the box. Play was stopped well before the 'goal'.
I couldn't either to be honest but it's a habit of mine to look at the Lino instantly when the opposition score and he was already waving his flag and indicating shirt pulling and our players had a massive Mardy and ran straight to the ref and Lino so something must have happened. Think it was Miller pulling Mannone back by his top.
in order to pass comment on the referees performance, you must have been at the match. if you werent, then your in no position to comment on how to referee affected the game. as it happens, cardiff fans were calling for malky to be honest after the game, yes the referee was poor, but so were we, in fact we were so poor that it was probably our worst performance in the last 2-3 years. hull won by default, i wouldnt say they played particularly well. but you've got to remember that these interviews are conducted about 15 minutes after the match ends so emotions are still running high.
I admitted I wasn't at the match and as such I didn't pass comment on the actual incident and whether there was a foul or not. But as I said, if it wasn't a foul and it was a soft free kick, that happens to every team every game and it isn't somehow a more serious situation just because your player went and put the ball in after everyone stopped. I think the general standard of refereeing in this league is very poor, but I think one of the biggest reasons is that only goal-related decisions are highlighted, all the ridiculous decisions given in the middle of the pitch are ignored because of people going on about silly incidents like this.
Play wasn't stopped before way before the goal though - I wasn't there but I thought the ref gave the goal only for the linesman to give the foul.
Teams are often poor when they play against us. It is a regular comment we get. I'm pretty sure you were poor as that was the way we wanted it. It's a re-occurring theme
