http://www.fulhamfc.com/news/2013/june/09/memory-lane I love this story, which someone says everything you need to know about Bobby Robson. And the team that Macdonald managed for us was the first really good Fulham side I remember.
http://www.fulhamfc.com/news/2013/j...utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=allsocialandre More from Malcolm Macdonald. Here's highlights to the crucial 1983 match away at Derby that Macdonald refers to. From around 4 minutes in the video you can see the crowd encroaching on the pitch, and 7 minutes in you see the fan kick out at Robert Wilson. Hard to imagine the game being completed like that these days.
Thanks Captain - although the memory of the travesty at Derby is painful. Not so the memory of Roger Brown though, nor his 12th goal of that 1981/82 season which won us promotion to Division 2 (the Championship for younger people). We pipped Lincoln City to the final promtion place in the last game of the season against them. For some reason the 'Insert Video' thingy isn't working so here is a link to a video of highlights of that game including, of course, Roger's monster headed goal - http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=5V-S-di3iEs That game just has to be one of THE MOMENTS if the history of Fulham Football Club. PS Unless it's simply my machine playing up, the Captain obviously had similar problems with 'Insert Video'. So in case it's a wider issue, here is a link to the Derby debacle - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4QM7lMEauMw&feature=player_detailpage
