The FA have no right filling their coffers with monetary punishments they give to players and managers. It serves no purpose at all. It's the same with 5p charge for a plastic bag that you can still nonetheless purchase and pollute the environment. But I digress. This idea comes as I lol'ed hard at Becks giving one big FU to Hollande's 75% tax plan by playing for free (or for Charity). Personally i don't believe the FA should fine players or managers. I wish someone had the balls to go public and say he accepts the fine but is putting it to better use and giving to a charity. The FA won't have the balls to claim their slice of that action, and real good would actually come out of whatever penalty the FA impose. And most of the time it's petty money so why not put it to real good use?
Pretty sure Carlton Cole wanted his fine for his tweet about Ghanaian fans donated to a charity in Ghana. The bloke from league one who was fined and banned for racist comments also made a large voluntary donation to anti racism charities which, along with a public apology, led the FA to reduce his fine and ban. But I agree it should be more of a widespread thing, and the FA should publish what they do with the money from fines.
Which, as the FA are pocketing it you'd like to think it is. They should indeed tell us this though, as we all understandably assume it to be going towards a debt of theirs. (the FA academy, killing both birds with one stone perhaps!)

No doubt they do. They've still got massive Wembley debt to service. I agree with Ra, if a player is to fined he should be able to say when not contesting it that it goes to charity, or else the FA are transparent and they say where these fines go.
