Indian footballer Peter Biaksangzuala has died from the injuries he suffered as he landed awkwardly while celebrating a goal.
The 23-year-old damaged his spinal cord doing a somersault after scoring an equaliser for Bethlehem Vengthlang FC against Chanmari West FC.

Obviously this only applies to teams who score goals so we have less to worry about than most but it certainly highlights how dangerous these celebrations are.

As games go on and players get progressively tired the burst of exhilaration from scoring may not be enough.

I remember when Kenwyne Jones was warned about the danger ...... he cleverly reduced the possible consequences by stopping scoring <ok>

A tactic adopted by the majority of black cat strikers.
Just imagine those incredible celebrations , practised for hours and never seen.
Shame they wasted time practicing celebrations rather than scoring.
