It's Briatore's and Bernie's big day on Saturday. First Prem game, worldwide TV coverage, no Grand Prix, so all their invited guests will be there as they look to show off their plaything and bask in the acclaim for successfully steering the club to the Premier League . So let's make sure we humiliate them by continual and noisily chanting our displeasure at how they're running our club. Yes yes, get behind the team, that goes without saying. But this is the first chance we'll have had to let them know what we think about what's gone over the summer. And don't believe that a few chants won't bother them. It will. In F1 they've never had to deal with punters voicing their displeasure. These clowns are egotists. So with all their peers and toadying hangers-on present it will be a humiliating and embarrassing experience having to sit and suffer it. Give it to them loud and long.
apart from boycotting games (which understandably none of us wants to do) chanting and singing is the most direct way we have of letting them know what we think. And it'll get picked up by TV coverage, increasing the goons humiliation
How about before or even after the game , but not during . Feel like the boys will need every part of our support this year.
Why? What good could possibly come out of it? It would only be a distraction on a day when the players and staff deserves our full attention. Theres a time and place for everything, this saturday is definately not it.
Why? See above What good? Well, a good old fruity sing-song will heap embarrassment on our owners. Will make them want to stay away on matchdays. And quite possibly hasten their exit from our club. I'd say that was all good. As for a time and a place for it. I can't think of a better time and place. The first time Rs fans have been congregated in one place and can vocalise their displeasure since the debacle of the summer - and as explained, it's the Goons big moment in front of their associates. With all the moaning on these boards, I can't seriously believe you'd rather wait a minute longer to let them know how we feel. The players will always get our full attention and backing. Shouting anti-Chelsea songs never seems to have put the players off so why not direct our chanting at the owners who have shafted us over the summer rather than at that lot up the road. I'm sure it would give NW a wry smile too after what he's ahd to endure Or would you rather give them a nice warm round of applause after all their stirling efforts over the summer?
I have been moaning as much as the next man on here (check my posts). They won't care, when have they ever?! They are like cockroaches, if you nuke Loftus Road on saturday they will still be there I like what you are suggesting, just don't believe it will bring us any good. IMHO.
They wont give a **** and it will affect the team, ive been waiting 16 years for this day i'm not wasteing in on pointless chanting,my yelling will be aimed at boosting players confidence and onwards to 3 precious points
Of course they'll give a ****. Haven't you seen Briatore's reaction in the trailer to that documentary; angrily demanding, "Give me the names of the fans that are booing me or I'll sell the club!". You can't hurt them in their wallet, you can only hurt their egos in front of their associates. Give the boys plenty of backing but don't be afraid to let the owners know how we feel.
Anyone chanting at the game about Mr Bernard Ecclestone, Mr Flavio Briatore, Mr Lakshmi Mittal and Flight Attendant Antony Fernandes may have trouble as collectively its a real mouthful. With this in mind : Good old Abba: we work all night, we work all day, to pay for seats we have to pay Ain't it sad And still there never seems to be a single penny left for Neil That's too bad In our dreams we have a plan If we got us a wealthy fan We wouldn't have to moan at all, we'd fool around and play football... Money, money, money Must be funny In the rich man's world Money, money, money Always sunny In the rich man's world Ah RRRRRRRRRRR's All the things the hoops could do if we had a little money .... F**k me we turned into Chelsea
The players loyalties will all be with NW and not the Goons. I doubt it would affect their play at all if they hear what they already know, that the fans despise the Goons. It will be interesting to know whether the Mittals will be there - if they are I will be encouraged. I sit in Ellerslie opposite the nob's box and I've got an Indian flag, so I might just show the colours if they turn up.
Maybe rather than chanting our displeasure at Briatore and Ecclestone we should give the likes of fernandes and mittal a singsong. That way we keep the vibes positive but and hopefully endear Fernandes whilst making it clear that we dont give a monkeys about the two clowns. Also it'd be a tough one to explain to all their a-list friends.
