I'm back from my hols and have been greeted with a couple of weeks worth of paperwork so I wont be around much for a few days. Back to the thread: Our last match before Santa clambers down our chimneys is a long trip to Hartlepool. IMO a draw here would simply not be good enough to sour the mulled wine. We MUST end the winless streak on Saturday. Are any of you making the pilgrimage to Victoria Park? What are your predictions for the game?
Welcome back Dev - I'm not but agree with you that it is a must win - we are still in such a precarious position on and off the field and we need to be in the upper 20's by mid Jan to have a hope of staving off relegation - coupled with a January window that will see our better performers go to clubs with stability I think our bleak mid-winter is still to come. I will hope Father Christmas brings me what I wish for in the meantime. PUP
Not going either I'm afraid ! A 2-0 win would be nice, with a goal from Izale McLeod, to make up for his penalty miss last Saturday in a match we really should have won.
Never been to Hartlepool, it's a long way! If we cannot beat them then it looks pretty grim if we are being honest about it.
Working on Saturday so I'll be having sneaky peaks at the live text on the news site. Deffo one we have to win. We've got a good number going up there. 450 tickets sold already. Probably around the 700 mark by KO.
Haven't been able to get to see a game so far this season - so every game I log into the News online chat. Every game I'm really optimistic that we're going to win. Changed tactics 3 games ago and predicted getting hammered - and we ended up with a draw. This week I'm going to predict a complete humiliation - then maybe we could end up with 3 points. Well anything is worth a try
Match may be postponed, dev, due to the rather "damp" state of Hartlepool's ground following torrential rain, with more of the same apparently forecast for tomorrow up t' north.
