Yeah that's what I meant ? Idiot!! He's told the fans, the media the world that we are clearly not "ambitious" if we sell those players which weeks later he does sell. My interpretation of accountable is buying quality replacements and then coming out and saying "yes we sold 2 of our top players but I've gone out and bought other world class quality into the team that shows you how ambitious I and the club are" Right now his actions and words have told the world we aren't going anywhere as a club and with fans paying some of (if not the) top ticket prices in world football that's not acceptable. His actions over the next 7 days are where he has to be accountable
You're right, he should go down to ASDA and pick up some world class players. Then he should say to them "We can't offer you the wages you want, but the moral decision would be to move to us because we play nice football".
