Weren't you saying Starmer was being weak ...

... now it seems you want him to be weaker, I just don't get it.

There are no flames, just a few damp squibs who need stamping out imo.

Or do you believe these people should be allowed to do what they've done without being punished ...

... if you truly believe that, why not say so.

Not sure that's true mind. It should work as a deterrent. Imagine doing 2 year for pinching some sausage rolls?!?!?!?

Well 'anonymous John' is certainly believable ...

... except that West Midlands police have never been issued full riot gear, on a weekly basis, at football matches as he claims. It's only certain categories and high risk games and why wouldn't they have riot gear when this part of the country has a history of organised violence. The recent WBA v Wolves game saw some of the worst trouble ever seen in an English stadium.

And how are the WM police 'only policing one side' at football matches when there are many Asian supporters.

This 'police officer' hasn't thought it through has he <whistle>

Perhaps he's genuine so will do what he was asked, give his details to the production team and agree to be interviewed properly.

If he's telling the truth there's no reason to hide behind a pseudonym ...

    ... what are the chances?

Well wouldn't this just be great for all the Sunderland supporters who've booked hotels, travel and tickets, some of whom are driving down at 3/4am tomorrow, for a long awaited first game of the new season. After already seeing the city shamed to the nation, by lowlife scum, they're having to worry about whether or not there'll be a match tomorrow. These rioters should hang their heads in shame but, of course, they'll be trying to justify what they've done.

I hope the media keep posting their names and photos so they can be shamed in public.

Security level at football matches raised to maximum over far-right disorder fears

Football authorities and police could postpone some football league matches this weekend over threat of far-right violence

In 2011, far-right activist Tommy Robinson, seen here being massaged by one of his chums who's pressed up against him, was convicted of using ‘threatening, abusive or insulting behaviour’ during a fight between supporters of Luton Town and Newport County in Luton the previous year.

    August 8, 2024

The police will significantly increase their presence at several football matches this weekend over fears that far-right groups linked to hooligan gangs could spark disorder and violence, i has learnt.

As the English Football League season kicks off this weekend, national police sources have told i that the risk level of several games involving clubs with known hooligan elements will be upgraded to the highest Category A level which means fans can expect a significant increase in police presences at some grounds.

EFL authorities are understood to be in discussions with police, and will consider calling for certain fixtures to be postponed if intelligence suggests the threat of far-right violence is too high.

All of them. Everyone convicted of taking part in whichever way will go to jail.

There are those, already convicted, who are doing two or three months jail time.

The most serious offenders will be going to Crown Court which may take a few months ...

... so they can move into the recently vacated cells while the bed is still warm.

It's a win win situation for everyone <laugh>

Prison population in the UK is around 90,000 if memory serves. They can't arrest everybody, there isn't the capacity for it.

They'll just let people out to make room for them.

There are many who are remanded in custody for offences lesser than assaulting police officers, arson, attempted murder, etc.

They'll probably be released and remanded on bail imo.

It doesn't mean they're escaping justice, simply having it delayed.

The courts will delay trials until there's adequate capacity so all good news.

Where a suspect is identified, through whatever means (CCTV, forensic, witness, social media etc), that person will definitely be arrested.
if the evidence is strong enough, that person will be charged to court.
If convicted at court, that person will be sentenced to a term of imprisonment.

That is the process which will not be deviated from.

The Government has already said there are 500 cells ready and waiting…

If they've any intentions of getting everyone off the streets they'll need a hell of a lot more than that.

They are off the streets, they all ran away when local people made it clear they don't want their are looted and their cars set on fire.

People caught on CCTV, etc, will be dealt with when the police and courts have time ...

    ... there's no rush.

In fact letting them sweat and seeing their mates sent down, while waiting for a knock on the door that may take months is a bonus.

Are you suggesting the Police will spend months and months searching for evidence to identify Suspects and then do nothing with it?

Once a Suspect is identified the process kicks in as I have already described.
There is absolutely no deviating from it.

The offences are so serious that imprisonment is the Court’s only recourse.
Can’t imagine many community service orders being handed out…..

Releasing smackheads from prison, who will ultimately re-offend quickly, to imprison people for arguing on twitter is North Korea style dystopian-esque. If the internet offends you simply log out, it’s not that difficult.

    They won't.

You predicted the numbers would just keep increasing and the police defeated ...

... I don't think this prediction is any better.

BTW, will you be on the streets with them?

You seem to support them, is that just posting on the internet or do you actually leave the house.
