Bloody hell, bit of a scoop this one. I wonder if it will come out in due course? http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/apr/19/police-called-drug-scandal-major-club?CMP=twt_gu DTLW
This has been on the card for a long time. Two or three years back I was told that a journalist approached Fergie with some "questions" on drug use and he was told very swiftly to look elsewhere or get nothing from the in ever again. I was also told that the journalist was pointed towards North London suggested he check what some players were being given to improve recovery times from injuries.
There's always been an urban rumour about Wilshere's cocaine habits, no actual evidence though. The idea being that the injuries arsenal get are to cover up for drug use... I'll be really annoyed if that's true because I've told my friends it's bollocks so many times. EDIT: Although it does seem to suggest it's more higher ups than it is players, in which case the smart money would be on Villa surely?
I feel very much as if there has been a news event going on in the background and nobody has pointed it out to me. Can someone explain why you're all saying... oh that Aston Villa thing..?
Cheers, GBS. That also explains why Shaw Given was sat on the Villa bench in a coaching role. It seems a bit of a stretch to consider two of Villa's coaching staff as being suspect of being around drugs until you read that Paul Lambert wanted them removed, having previously worked with them at 4 clubs. Trust obviously gone.
Two senior members caught per the article, two Villa coaches suspended indefinitely. Does seem to line up.
Is agree with this and with all due respect to Villa (they are a big club), the wording to me suggested one of the really big clubs, such as a United or Arsenal.
It's Arsenal and is the reason the corporate boxes are so expensive. Free programme, 6 course meal, free drinks..... a bag of cocaine for each person. It is also rumoured to be the place where Artur holds most of his parties..
