How has he played in the last 2 friendlys? I had high hopes for him last season after he was on fire in our friendly games but then his season was ruined by injuries. Does he look like he could be a success in league 1?
Big season for the lad coming up...clearly he is going to get a chance. Is he physical enough for this league is the question....I hope so!!!!
Aye that's the biggest worry - for his goal against Fulham he used the "buffer" from the defender like an experienced pro and looked very strong, but then in other games he's been controlled easily by defenders! Am glad that he's staying - just hope he commits with a contract
“One hundred per cent this is where I want to be right now,” said the 19-year-old striker. “I want play football here, it’s the right option. As long as I keep working hard and pushing myself, I can do that.” https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/spo...sunderland-striker-josh-maja-reveals-14914182
His first touch, one of his main atributes will not desert him, and while his goal drought is a worry, he still looks the part for me, he will get a chance to stake his claim this season, and its up to him to take it. Hope he does, as a big strong goal scorer is an asset in any league.
His "goal drought" doesn't worry me at all - how many full games did he play last season? Certainly wasn't many 17 appearances but most as a sub - and most of those in an awful team where chances were at a premium
