For God's sake hess just take the contract offer away he is just using us. Plus we really don't need him if he was to sing he would only be a drag on the wage budget seeing as we have a great midfield now

good he clearly does not want to play with us, he will sniff around other clubs and when he does not get an offer he will come crawling back to us. but in all fairness he did well last season and i wish him all the best where ever he ever turns up ........ hopefully not at gills :)

I've made my views clear on Maher in the past. For me it's thanks but BYE!

I want to see players who WANT to play for us not players who can't get anything else so they'll stick around. Deadline has past, we have moved on now it's time Maher does the same.

the fact that kevin maher held out for a better offer from us or another club, has done us gills one big favour! find it hard to see we would of been bringing in charlie lee to the club otherwise....things can also work out for the better if you bide your time!

good luck to kevin maher though after a better last season for us!!

i put a message on this BROWN & BIRCHALL thread last nite, after seeing on kent messenger site, looking at j brown and that he may still sign for us thread; went to comments to see a comment from a PAUL SCALLY...which stated he was'nt happy for people to try and make deals happen on social interneting sites, he won't be coming back due to the fact he felt it a big step backwards, and there is more chance of j stannard returning!
don' know if that was the real p scally...but don't think it's happening if so. if it's not true i remember what happened last time on 606 when someone on a thread went and rubbed mr scally up the wrong way!<steam><steam>

With the midfielders we have now it wont hurt us if he left. Take the contract offer away and use the money for his wages elsewhere :)

i just cant believe some of our players can get in clubs higher than us in the football league. Why would yeovil want him? why would stevenage want julien? why would bristol rovers want cronin.
My predicition is that McCammon is gonna go to Arsenal, Nutter to Spurs and White to United?

We have a glut of midfielders at the club, so one less won't be the end of the world

It's unfortunate that he actually was starting to impress me and then he does this but as it stands i would be unhappy if he signed so goodbye to maher see you next year at yeovil!

If im honest, I was a Maher hater and it's not because he was in a non 'headline' position, players like Lassana Diarra and Nicky Butt are actually my favourites so it has nothing to do with that.

But if you were to take stats on the bloke it would be something like a 10% pass completion rate, and that's not even an exageration, don't even get me started on his first touch!

I agree Re. Jack Payne, top player. Plus where would Maher ever fit in if Payne is now on the fringes
