Like it or not it seems this season keeps throwing up games where we can help each other out in a small way, this weekend is no different.

I know many say they don't give a dam about the other side but maybe they should.

We go into our next games with the table showing our opponents, Spurs, sitting on 58 points and Newcastle on 53, a win for us could leave Newcastle only 2 points away from Spurs.

We sit on 41 points with Newcastle's opponents Swansea just behind us on 39 points, a win for the Mags would leave one more team that bit further away from nicking 7th spot.

Love it or hate it we seem to be reliant on each other to some degree and for me it just adds more interest to the end of the season.

Will we help them and win, I think yes.

Will they help us and win, I see a draw.

Would love your lot to win but just cant see it. Spurs I think have just had their big wake up call, i think that after their great league positon alot of their players took it for granted and didnt consider any serious possibility they may slip out of the CL places, Now not only is the gap dramatically reduced, Arsenal have also climbed above them and I think its given Spurs the kick up the arse they needed. It would be lovely to see your lot help us reduce the deficit to almost nothing but at the same time it all hinges on what we do on Fri. If we lose we can have no complaints about missing out on a golden opportunity, if we get a run of consecutive wins you just never know

With our momentum gathering as it has been I think I'd be disappointed with a draw at Swansea but if you lot were to trounce the spuds it would soften the blow a bit.

You need to take into account that Chelsea are 5th and totally unpredictable at the moment but someone has to slip up soon, so why not Spurs or Chelsea?

I hope you smash em. <ok>

Anyway, that's enough of the love-ins for now... You mackem twat <run>

The difference with Chelsea is that we have still to play them so in that sort of respect its in someways still in our own hands as to how we finish the season in regards to them.

Hope we win and they draw like Syd says - I can see us winning against Spurs if the side that played City turn up! Hope Killa is fit.

I think Newcsatle's game is much more difficult - simply because of Swansea's home form - but that's the way it goes really.

We have 2 games in 2 days and the second one is against Everton - Wouldn't be unhappy to remain unbeaten through the games, also wouldn't be unhappy with a win and a loss - Obviously if we are beating Everton there will be something the ref does to ensure we don't (as per the first 2 games against them this season!)

We have had a fantastic 2nd half of the season and I do hope Newcastle can do us a favour of some sort!

As for us against Swansea, this is the last 6 results of their home games:

    Spurs - draw
    Arsenal - win
    Chelsea - draw
    Norwich - lost
    Man City - won
    Everton - lost

There's basically no clear pattern, so I think it all depends on which team turns up on the day. On a good day in top form we can play just as well as Everton, if not better, so there's scope to win this one.

I can see why people are saying we will lose, we should looking at who we are playing, however, look at our record under MON against the so called big teams and I can see us taking 3 points.

Likewise yes Newcastle should win but Swansea at home, a draw would be a good result.

The other side to this of course is if our losing to the spuds stopped the barcodes from getting a European spot it would also soften that blow for me.

We will not get a top 6 place this year anyway and I'm already fixed on next season, so my desire to aide the mags is nill.

I want Sunderland to win every game. (Even if it aided the Skunks.)

    Newcastle I couldn't care less.

Pardew has been saying for ages how the last few games of the season are what really matter and it's great to see us going into them with some form behind us.

Having said that I still think we'll fall short of Champions League football next year which would be a blessing in disguise if anything as we are in no way ready for it!

5th place would be veeeeeeeery nice though, even nicer if ****ing Everton make it to the FA cup final and 6th won't get us a Europa League place!

I'd rather have CL football over the Europa League.

The CL just seems to be a bit less tolling, I'm not sure why. When I think of Europa I think of a LOT of matches in the ****holes of Eastern Europe.

If it's going to impact us endurance-wise, then I'd rather that the matches we're at least against quality sides with plenty of coverage instead of random Europa teams no one has heard of, like Stoke with Macc Tel-Aviv or whoever else.
