Newcastle United vs Sheffield United 2.00pm Saturday 21st June, On a TV near you. Our first game behind closed doors so I have created a fan wall to show on the scoreboard. A chance to 'immediately' follow our first home/away double over Southampton, with another one over Sheffield United after a fortuitous 2-0 away win in December with goals by St Maximin and VAR (via Shelvey). Looks like we may be missing both Longstaffs which presumably means we will be shortstaffed, plus Dummett, Willems and Clark. Starting line up for me: Dubravka Manquillo Schar Lascelles Rose Lazaro Bentaleb Shelvey Almiron St Maximin Joelinton Reckon we will win this 2-0.
The PL are worried about the influence MBS had over Sheffield United. In an attempt to push the takeover through MBS gets MA to tell SB to lose the game. SB tells MA to politely **** off and he won't throw a game and he'll play his best team with his great tactics. Sheffield United to win 2-1
I'm probably just forgetting how **** it was before the break, we'll probably pick up where we left off
When has that ever stopped anyone posting their views here? From Germany it seems that: 1) Form/better teams are more likely to win behind closed doors than when they are playing in front of crowd 2) Home advantage is less of a benefit 3) Players tend to take a few more risks than they would do in front of a crowd so there are more goals scored I reckon 1) and 2) work against us but 3) is in our favour as I reckon we have more skillful players than them. Also 2) may not be so much of a disadvantage as we seem to labour, if we don't score early on, as crowd get restless. I have absolutely no statistics to support those three points so it could be a load of bollocks.
Got an email in today from Man Utd saying that all season ticket holders will get free Sky Passes and Digital Programmes for Utd Home games in an effort to recreate the Match Day atmosphere. Newcastle have announced a similar scheme - they are sending a tramp with diarrhoea round to **** in your toilet.
Sheffield United are an awful side to play against.. they're are basically the Stoke City of today... Our counter attacking system worked a treat at their place, but I doubt Bruce has the brains to identify or remember that. I expect us to win regardless
I think you're spot on with the four goals and scorers, however I think Tony Currie will get a consolation goal for them.
