I fancy this game is now up there with El Clasico....this is an absolute bonus on a Saturday evening.

Atletico have done such a job last 2 summers, they will always move players on but they are thinking ahead and players are bought based on the vital thing for the club, will to win.

Simeone is doing phenomenal work, nailed on to manage right at the top, indeed, Atleti could get into that bracket anyway under his management and with the revenue from the new stadium.

They'll be pushed to win it this year, Madrid just look way too strong, but they'll be in there fighting again, no question.

I love Turan, slow as **** but just absolutely makes it not matter, you sometimes barely notice him but his stats mount up, Godin & Miranda as well, top, top draw pairing.

Mandzukic, not like Costa at all, but totally fits in with the down the channels they play, he'll score bagfuls this season IMO.

 

Madrid paid a tribute to Tito Vilanova before the game.....when they do this Madrid put a picture of the former player or manager on the big screen and play a portion of Ennio Morricone's soundtrack from Once Upon a Time in the West....beautiful haunting music.
