Don't know why the picture is so tiny. Puts our striker woes into perspective and makes the cost feel a little better.

We complain about Danny Graham, but at least we didn't spend £5 million on Altidore :emoticon-0148-yes:

When you're using the "Insert Image" tool you get a few options.

Make sure you choose "From URL" and also make sure the tick box is UN-checked.

That should sort the size issue out.

    EDIT; it'll look like this.

Poor Dozy Altidonkey indeed. At least Danny Graham looked out of his depth against a league 2 side, rather than against a Blue Square side! :)

They said he was out of his depth against a non-league side, yet gave him a 5/10.... what the hell?

I'm sure there was a few on here who predicted he'd be the real deal this season having matured into a top striker.

Not quite worked out that way.......yet.

Patience is the key here with Jozy, it is in his destiny to be the George Best of US soccer. Let's not give up on him just yet. He is probably a late developer who will one day set the MLS alight. Not scoring goals for Sunderland does not mean he is a bad player. It may be something to do with the very average players he has to work with.

I thought Sunderland had also paid more than £5m for Altidore?

He scored a few goals in some **** leagues.

He can't score in the Premier League. That's it really.

    Ultimately, just not good enough.

I think Altidore will score goals in this division, it's not like he misses loads of chances, I genuinely think his time with us and with Sunderland has been with two teams who at the time couldn't create chances for anyone.

Altidore does have all the ingredients on paper to be a success - powerful, fast, he holds the ball up well, from what I have seen he's still skillful on the ball. His goal scoring record in Europe and internationally are excellent, so he clearly can find the net. What he can't do is find the net for teams fighting relegation.

As you probably know all clubs receive a small allocation of tickets for cup finals.
I need at least a couple for the league cup final. I'm Sunderland but I'd buy tickets for any section.
I'm happy to pay over the odds.

I live 1000 miles from the UK but still manage around 16/20 games a season. I was at the semi-final and have stayed on for Kidderminster and the Stoke match on Wednesday.
I can't have a season ticket so won't get a ticket for the final.

I'm not going to give you a sob story, I'm just an ordinary supporter who's been travelling the length & breadth of the country for 40 years following my team.

If you can help please pm, thanks.

I know someone with a wembley season ticket. Corporate. £700 per head and I'll convince him to sell.

The fee was undisclosed, but is believed to be £6-7m.

He's scored 1 in 20 this season, which is even worse than Graham, Fletcher has scored 3 in 17 and Borini 2 in 17, I'm not sure how Altidore is still getting a game.

There are some rose tinted Beverley's being worn on here by some when it comes to Altidore.

He can find the net in lesser leagues, fair play to him but so far in his career he's failed in England and Spain.

Granted his spell in Spain and his first in England he was very young but what's the excuse this time 'round?

It's because he's at Sunderland who are struggling and their team is full of average players ?

I don't buy that for one minute, the reason they're probably struggling is because their big money signing centre forward is w**k and can't score.

I recall seeing him earlier in the season on MOTD and he had a gilt edged chance in front of goal but literally fell over the ball. My son, sarcy little get, piped up with, " see he hasn't changed then".

He's simply not good enough at this level

    As for international goals?

I might be wrong but don't the USA play a shed load of games against really poor opposition in their qualifying games for the World Cup and the Copa America?

I'm not sure Antigua and Barbuda will take kindly to you calling them 'really poor opposition'.

Copa America? USA don't play in that carmine.

They play in the highly coveted Gold Cup, which is probably the best continental national team competition in the world.

They do, but not all of them, they're a guest nation that get invited to play occasionally.

    According to google they do.

Unless I've forgotten how to read, which is plausible.
