    And just to add to the pedantry, you can only transfer this reg to a car from March 2008 or newer. The law allows a plate from the same registration period or older, but not newer.

    Come on people, there's a recession on! No good for my 52 reg 'classic'.

    A note of (some) interest. The DVLA are committed to not releasing plates that could be construed as rude. They once wrote to a bloke who'd bought PEN 15 asking for it back. Presumably they thought he was a pen collector before realising their 'cock-up'. Unsurprisingly, he refused!,
