http://www.getwestlondon.co.uk/spor...ews/qpr-latest-stricken-jamie-mackie-11163202 Joining Mackie in the treatment room will be James Perch, who limped out of today’s win over Charlton with a suspected thigh strain. However, there was better news of veteran defender Clint Hill who Hasselbaink confirmed is expected back in training on Monday.
'Mackie season is over' Lets be honest......apart from the 1 goal did it ever really begin?! Will we see him back again?
The fellow is out of the mould of Lee Cook, Marc Bircham, et al. Oceans of passion and commitment for the club. A great impact substitute, but found to be lacking in skill at times. The fellow behind me reckons we haven't won a match that he's started this season - 9 matches or some such stat.
Strange stat part deux - 11 Mackies from our promotion season (headed by Teds idol) would have seen us run away with this league !
We need to get rid of 'clappy Mackie'. Not good enough and too many people playing the emotional card in wanting him to stay. Don't get me wrong, i was a Mackie fan and he has given us some great memories but we need to look to the future now. Thanks Jamie, now let's move on.
The goal he scored last week was definetely good enough. Perhaps when fully fit he could be a big asset, but very unfortunately like Ale, his injury problems make him a big risk.
her is the man of glass and lacks any real class the reason why he looked good in the past was he had the greatest manager on planet earth hes too old to be of any worth
My first thought when I saw the title of this thread. Was beginning to resemble a man-size version of SWP...
Think we have the beginnings of a good side but don't think he should be a part of it - has the passion but that's about it
I wouldn't wish injury on anyone but I was never a fan, even five years ago, liked his attitude, effort and commitment, he even seems a nice chap, but never a footballer
I'm more worried about 'sb' ....................... this really throws a spanner in the works. How will he recover to offer his weekly game prediction. We need to offer our troubled friend much support. From one concern member.
The prediction stands regardless of Mackie's availability. It's a totemistic thing. Sadly, having stuck to this for all of this ridiculously long season, I suspect I am far from bottom of the prediction league, and am certain that I am in a better position than I would have been predicting seriously. Already have next season's prediction in mind, and it's a bit more positive than this one's.
i think in fairness to mackie he has always been a very inconsistant per former he can be brilliant or terrible hes a good impact sub, but as hes got older he seems to be more accident prone ,this is no good to us i would rather bring in a younger player and try to develop him
