After all the doom and gloom, I thought I would highlight the one positive thing to come from today's game and that's the return of Mackie. I though he immediately looked his industrious self and looked more of a goal threat than Bothroyd has all season. He did not look like a player that has been out injured for 10 months! There are more technically gifted forwards at the club, but he is better at tracking back and putting a tackle in than a lot of them and he never gives up. I'd like to see him given a chance, possibly from the bench, against Blackburn (who thankfully are minus Diouf!)
