All QPR fans agree we need another striker to score us goals but I am still miffed why Warnock does not play Mackie up front!?

Jamie Mackie is not a winger but I understand why he plays him there because of his work rate and fighting qualities but I truly believe if he was played in his preferred position up front not only would he use his work rate and strength to upset Premiership defenders he would also score us the goals to keep us up!!

He's not a natural striker, we can't experiment at this stage. We need a proven quality striker and, more importantly, a creative midfielder to supply the ammunition...

I think that's a good point. I suppose all our strikers do put in good shifts and so he's seen as more valuable putting in his effort elsewhere. He is getting forward well anyway and making things happen regardless while also doing the team things - best of both.

I'd also love to see a team with SWP, Mackie and Adel in.

I certainly think that Mackie could play upfront, but only in a limited capacity. In particular, as I've said elsewhere, when we're chasing points in the last 10-15 mins of games, NW could and perhaps should move Mackie up top in place of HH; although HH has done exceptionally well there is no way he can stretch sides on the break, ruling out the possibility of a simple ball chipped over the defence.

So yes, I think Mackie should be used upfront but only judiciously.

He started up top for the first 20 minutes at Anfield and looked isolated.

Although I wouldn't have him as a centre forward, I think he'd do well as some kind of second striker or attacking midfielder playing high up the park.

But I think he's doing well on the wing. I was disappointed that SWP got his little injury because he was starting to do well and Warnock was starting to play him on the right wing.
