Kean has made a bid of £3.5m according to the mirror. Would sort of make sense for both clubs if hoilett is coming to us but he's just signed an extension and I can't see this going down too well with the fans. Having said that apart from being a super sub, there is just no room in the starting XI for Mackie.
Even if there's no place for him in the starting XI, which isn't for certain, he's an excellent squad player.
Good squad player, but I think if we are going to try and step up a notch, it might make sense. Depends who we get in to replace. I do think we need some real pace out wide and I wouldnt say no to Holliett.
Agreed, his style suits coming on and giving a tired defender a hard job. Id rather get rid of SWP though although I cant see Blackburn bidding that amount in the NPC.
I think we'd be mad to. He improved hugely during the season and it seems odd to me to get rid when we don't know how much he can improve further for what is, in football terms, **** all.
Oh please just watch QPR player you tits ... Mackie was just talking live about a great future with QPR Now he is being sold ... FFS Please and people think I talk ****
NO WAY.. we would be selling our soul to the devil.. mackie taarabt and faurlin carry the spirit of our promotion into the future.. we need to build on that not become a mini chelsea.. i do not want my team to have the heart ripped out of it..
Journo at the Mirror: "Hmmm, what story can I make up today for my football article..." Colleague: "Just make up a transfer rumour mate, thats all I do and ive been promoted twice" Mirror Journo: "Your right, but who?" Collegue: "Just find a link thats even slightly viable, even if is nonsensical" Mirror Journo: "I know, Jamie Mackie, he is Scottish and Steve Kean..he is Scottish and they both play in blue and white..." Article in the Mirror: "Jamie Mackie to got to Blackburn for 3.5m, tha player who is in Asia and the coaching Staff who are also in asia got the request from Steve Kean via Blackberry Messenger, Mackie is thrilled at the thought of dropping a division and Mark Hughes cant wait to get one of his hardest working players, the deal is set to be concluded....ooohhh let say...tomorrow!" Colleague: "nice journalism mate...you'll go far!"
So very probably true Franck. Not a reporter yourself by any chance?! Anyway, didn't West Ham offer around £5m for him last January, before he started really making a name for himself?
