After a free weekend football returns for the Chairboys with the visit of the Black Cats to Adams Park its the 3rd meeting between the teams with the last one just over 7 months ago at AP when we went in front with a goal from Alex Samuel after 35 mins and we were still leading after 90 mins and we thought we just had to see it out but the visitors equalised after 94 mins and then 4 mins later it all kicked off with handbags galore outside the dugouts resulting in Tyson and Honeyman seeing red with Bean following down the tunnel 2 minutes later before the ref ended the ill tempered affair, lets hope this isn't repeated.
Gaz will be hopeful he has players back from injury to add to his squad but he will be without midfield duo Ofoborh and Thompson so it would be a big plus if Bloomfield and Smyth were back.
I'm looking forward to this one and will be at AP hoping our home league form continues and the lads are on it from the start playing some great football and another fantastic result awaits<cheers>

The team looked absoulutely knackered at the end, I would'nt call a cracking game of football, it seemed as those it was played at 100 miles per hour, Sunderland did put a bit more effort than last season, & it looked like we were being overun at times towards the end of the game the Beast looked shattered at 65mins god knows what he felt like at the end. The only thing The only thought I had would have bought two subs on earlier, instead of one late one.

You lot must be buzzing this evening. Great result. I have yet to look at the Sunderland board but I suspect they will be unhappy as they usually are these days. Poor football, scrappy game, it makes no difference to the result on the records. 1 - 0 is fine and well done you lot and for keeping the extra time down at the end to single figures...........

Cheers greeny. I see you had a decent win too, putting Colchester below you where they belong.

You are right it was a very scrappy game but the record books now show we have never lost to Sunderland

You were right Greeny the Sunderland board not very happy at all, I can not see the result was a complete surprise after last seasons games, last season at our place they never turned up till the last ten minutes & equalised in the 96min. We were also leading up at their place as well last season

Neither team looked like they were going to score a hat full and our defence was immense throughout we played some good stuff first half and deserved to be in the lead the second half Sunderland got themselves into it but the stats show they had more of the possession but were lacking in front of goal we had twice as many shots as they did and five times as many on target<cheers>
