We've got Mackems from all over the world pitching in. So just how far are we scattered? I know we've got brothers in Thailand, Las Vegas, Perth, Finland, etc, but just how far have we been scattered? And if so why, and would us scattered brothers ever go back, if the opportunity arose?
Beijing, for work reasons. Was born in Sunderland, and moved away with family as a boy of 12. I moved back to study at Sunderland Uni - 4 glorious years of being able to get to lots of games (although not so glorious on the pitch). I then joined the Foreign Office and have lived in a variety of countries over the last 10 years. I try and get back as often as I can to see the lads play - but sadly not enough. If the opportunity arose - yes I would go back.
Abu Dhabi now, via Belgium, America and Houghton le Spring. Can't see me coming back now, love visiting but now have a life outside the UK
I am in Hong Kong Via New York and London, looking like being here a short while with a view to staying in New York, Love the North East but I am doubting whether I will be back long term. Time difference for the world cup is a killer here.
I have the pleasure of living in Townsville, tropical North Queensland......but I'm coming back for xmas, so will get to watch the boys at least 3 times..yippee!
One of my grandparents was born in Sunderland in the last years of the 19th century. I'm still a mag though
Thorney close Sunderland. Sometimes seems like a different planet, people wear dressing gowns and PJ's during the day, and many choose not to work. It's sometimes like living in a different reality where life can be a constant Jeremy Kyle show
Moved back to Sunderland 6 years ago after living away for 24 years Variety of reasons for doing so, and the timing was right Never regretted it for a minute Love being back home
Pitched up in NZ because daughters came out first so made the move in 2004 for no other reason than the climate was better and a more sedate way of life. Previously in various places around the world and UK with RAF for 30 years so making move was no big deal. Keep in touch with everybody via tinternet etc. Got it all ways really except for social life in a good old English pub.
Been around like many others. Manchester, Amsterdam, London, LA, Dubai, Prague now Helsinki. Wouldn't rule out another move or two......but not for a couple of years. Just bought a house and would like to settle down and raise a couple of kids first. Will i move back to the north east? Not yet, very much depends on flexibility of work
Farnborough, Hampshire. 300 miles from home and it feels like a different world but then again i am originally from Easington Colliery. Left in early 1985, joined the army and met my wife who is local to this place. Family still live up there but will never go back to live.
Framwellgate moor... It's no Canada but I love being here with my lush little family. One of which will be attending the games next season with me
I'll be in dubai in October Flanders, it won't be too hot then will it ? Was there in September last year and was a tad warm.i love Dubai, would love to live there myself.
moving to japan next year, marrying a Japanese girl and decided japan would be better place for us to start a family, been working away for last 6 years so not too much of a change, i'll be back every year to visit family and catch the odd game but don't see me moving back anytime soon
