Let's hope so, I expect to see both Etherington and Pennant starting this weekend. If they do, should be a cracking game. Seen as Cypriot sid is a SUPER moderator and a Mackem I won't delete you this time. <laugh>

GOOD LUCK Murry after this weekend of course.

I admire your optimism Potts or should I say Mr Potts as you are my moderator now , but I think it'll be just Etherington not Pennant, just a feeling I have :emoticon-0101-sadsm

Nailed on that Kenwyne fancies a game tomorrow, i'd say put Mensah on him to counter, but Jones is a foot taller, near enough.

Be a good game i reckon, i really rate Shawcross for you guys, but i think with Muntari giving some bite, we are capable of dominating the midfield.

Being capable of doing something, and doing something are 2 different things though, just ask my Mrs ;)

    1-1 for me.

I was a massive Jones fan personally mate, for all the lack of forward running he did, he was superb on corners at the back, and was a massive help that way.

It's such a waste though, he should be Drogba bothering, he's got it in his game, he just purely can't be arsed.

People say he can't shoot from range, but on his debut for us he turned and shot a worldy from 25 yards, and he is THE best player in the league in the air if he turns up.

I thought with Etherington and Pennant he'd score a load, and he did grteat at the start for you guys, but it looks like same old Kenwyne now, judging by your lads craic.

Shame, he's one i wished well.

Yeh, maybe he'll decide to actually move in this game

    No-one's that desperate...apart from us

He's had an indifferent season to be honest mate, just like the whole team, he was much better last season. Huth has been much the better defender this season, also chipping in with 5 goals this season, 4 in the Premier League, which is the most for a defender in the league I believe.

Shawcross was superb at the SOL, until the obvious!

I've never really liked Huth, not saying he's a bad player, he clearly ain't but he's a German ex smoggie, nasty mix. 5 goals from CB is quality though.

Who's likely to be your wing backs tomorrow lads?

Tight as a fish's snatch this game mind ;)

Sgt, you'll hear me scream if he does his normal tricks.

I have to ask myself why? he has a job and pay packet that most off us would sell our souls for, yet he can't motivate himself:emoticon-0101-sadsm

It's more frustrating knowing he has the tools.

Some players are just ****, Kenwyne certainly isn't. The biggest footballing frustration of my life the lad.

I was one of those screaming to keep the lad, incidentally, him and Gyan might well have worked.

I can understand someone not liking Huth, if I was an opposition fan I certainly wouldn't like him, now and then he'll do something, a bad challenge or whacking an opponent round the head like he did against Upson last season.

Andy Wilkinson will be right back and probably Danny Higginbotham ahead of Danny Collins at left back.

Now you know how I've felt every time I see Fuller play. They're both the stereotype of a West Indian, both incredibly laid back. Fuller frustrates the hell out of me, as like Jones, you know he has the ability but doesn't show it often enough, and sometime looks like he just doesn't care.

I have to say lads, i fancy Sessegnon against either of those wing backs, he looks a real player, and his pace comes in bursts, Wilkinson in particular would have a real job on his hands with Sess being so 'nimble'

Spot on with Kenwyne and Fuller, the dictiionary definition of the 'laid back Caribbean'.

Are you likely to play Carew and Jones together? That's a massive physical prescence for us to deal with.

    Playing it on the deck?
Unfortunately we've reverted back to a very direct style of football, I hope that we play Etherington and Pennant as Carew and Jones will be our strikers but I AM fearing the worst, this being Delap on the right and Etherington on the left. Pennant for some reason doesn't get partnered with Etherington anymore. They are our two best crossers of a football and with Carew and Jones, if they play we could cause so many sides problems.
The fact we're at home doesn't matter anymore either, the Britannia is no longer a fortress.

I might be over-reacting but I feel that this match could define our season, get a win or a draw and we'll be fine, anything else though and it'll be very tough for the remainder of the season.

Carefull what you say boys, I can confirm that BruceysBeak is now a moderator, he will delete you, no, not your comments but you.

Kenny was without doubt our best defender and won most balls in at set pieces, I think we miss him for that. We all know how he is the best strikeron his day but those days, no idea why, are few and far between.

Live on telly, a few former Sunderland players and Kenny deciding to make it one of his days, will be a good game I think. We should have Muntari starting his first game and Sess his second. Gyan needs a goal so it will be hard to call.

He's about the same height as Big John when he jumps though Brucey's!

Huth is a handful on set pieces. Far more of a threat than Jones.

We can't be involved in another game like the Chelsea game for the second time this week can we? I personally hope that Etherington isn't on because he is a very good crosser of the ball. I have absolutely no idea what's going to happen tomorrow at all. I wouldn't be able to pick from 3-1 either way or a 0-0 draw. I'm relieved to see that Fuller isn't going to feature as I reckon he would have taken the opportunity to show us that we should have signed him. Carew hasn't scored this season has he? You watch!
