    Paul McShane was taken off during the first half of Saturday’s win at Watford after suffering a severe contusion to his calf.

    He will be closely monitored by our medical staff over the next couple of days, as the knock requires further investigation.

    It's good that the club seem to be trying to keep us a little better informed, even though they don't seem to have much they can tell us on this occasion.

    Shame for Macca. This injury comes at a time when he had played himself into favour, and with Hobbs returning its back to the bench for City's #1 #2 #3 #4 #5 #6 #7 #8 #9 #10 #11 (one of the sillier chants last Saturday).

    Seconded. However, after an injury, he does seem to play better. I can recall him taking a knock on the head against Palarse, he went off and got his bandage on, then won ever header and challenge for the rest of the game.

    Macca will be ok and get game time(if fit) over the festive period. With 5 CB now Bruce can rotate to keep em fresh.

    He won't rotate, he'll play what he thinks is his best combination, unless someone gets injured.

    It's what he's done since he joined us.

    He said after Cardiff though that it's not been working playing the same team 3 times in a week. I wouldn't be surprised to see a bit more rotation next time we have a few games in a short space, especially since we now have a bit of depth to play with, particularly at CB.
